“Known Person Planning To Move to Your Town”
A person you know is planning to move to your town or city. What do you think this person would like and dislike about living in your town or city? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
-----------------------------
I live in Baroda India. A friend of mine is expected shortly move to my place on his transfer from Kanpur (UP) India.
Kanpur is a town where law and order situation is bad. It is bad named for loot, vandalism, rape, murder, suicide, homicide child abuse and many more crimes. People there live under enormous amount of tension and with a fear of insecurity. Residents of Kanpur don’t move out of their houses after six in the evening because of said fears. Similarly none dares to move in early morning hours due to those fears. The passengers landing in Kanpur in wee hours keep on waiting on railway station or air ports only and start for their respective destinations only after dawn. Overall population here is less educated.
When my friend comes to Baroda he would be able to move around freely and enjoy evenings. Also he would feel secured and fear less because of good law and order. People are educated hence he would like the gentry too. Besides he would like Baroda because of good educational facilities and medical facilities. Also site seeing places like, The Palace, Garden, Museum, Planetarium, Zoo, Fun World these places will be most liked by his wife and kids. He would like Baroda for its renowned Maharaja Sayaji Rao University where he will have excellent facilities for his children’s education.
In conclusion everyone wants a peaceful life free from troubles hence because of all those good points of Baroda my friend would like to move to this place, settle here and lead a fearless life with peace and harmony.

“Kind of Worker to Hire”
If you were an employer, which kind of worker would you prefer to hire: an inexperienced worker at a lower salary or an experienced worker at a higher salary? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
------------------------------------------
Employing a person would largely depend upon two major factors. Primarily the nature of job and secondly time span. If I want to employ a worker to run my production plant with ultra modern machinery and infrastructures, I would opt for an experienced person with high salary. But if I want people to run my production plant over the years to come, I may employ young fresher at low salary as trainee apprentices. I train them suitably and on completion of training successfully, absorb them as independent Production Operators and build a powerful team and workforce.
When a young and inexperienced worker is recruited it is most important that training begins immediately. These workers should be trained on the specific job function they will perform including how to safely perform the job. New workers should be given training for personal protection, proper lifting, working with or around electricity, and slips, trips, and falls. Employees must be trained to use “Personal Protective Equipment” that protects them from bodily injuries.
Management and the new inexperienced worker are like partners in a workplace. Management expects the worker to be efficient and productive. At the same time the company has full responsibility to ensure these employees are receiving proper training and work under qualified supervisors who understand the transition between inexperienced and experienced workers. Young and inexperienced workers present a major challenge to managers and supervisors. Supervisors must ensure that fresher don’t end up on the injury right from the day one.
In conclusion a young and energetic trained worker is more likely to give higher production as compared to an experienced aged worker. Younger generation is the national asset and the nation builder.

“Is Playing A Game Fun Only If Won?”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Playing a game is fun only when you win. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree that playing games is a fun only if player wins. I would put it up differently and more precisely that playing games is a greater fun on winning than losing. Games are played for fun and playing games is a fun no matter one loses or wins. In this essay I shall elaborate my view point.
Winning and losing is a natural phenomenon in any game and the player must take it sportily. It can never happen that either players win or both conversely lose. Playing games builds the sportsman sprit among players. Hence if one can take it in right spirit playing games is a fun regardless of win or loses.
Playing games is one of the most effective ways to eliminate stress and tension but if one is afraid of facing a defeat, may suffer severe anxiety and remain tensed during the entire game, thereby chances of losing become bright. I would rather say the player unprepared to face the defeat, should not play because a defeat may throw him or her into severe depression. In the games, players must do their best to win nevertheless if they lose they must be able to take it rightly with a sportsman spirit else they would be miserable. Games are played to keep ourselves physically and mentally healthy. If devils like anxiety and tension come in the way, the basic purpose of playing games is defeated.
In conclusion, it is a fun to win and feel the victory however defeat is inevitable. Hence players must play for a good and healthy participation that is more important then anything else. Win – Lose are the two sides of a coin in the game. More precisely, playing games is a greater fun on winning than losing.

“Is Computerized Data Collection Justified?”
Can computerized data collection on individuals be justified even though it endangers the rights of individual?
---------------------------------
It can not be generalized that computerized data collection on individual is always unjustified. It mainly depends upon the purpose of data collection. Employers keep collecting data of their employees and maintain such data for their official records as well as for the purpose of assessment of the potential strengths and weaknesses of an individual and his or her possible elevation to next higher position and or the training needs if any. I don’t see any unjust in this.
Furthermore medical departments also keep a record of health and sicknesses of individuals. The purpose is such data collection is in the interest of an individual’s further course of treatment and his or her wellbeing. Especially for psychiatric patients doctor’s main job is data collection in respect of an individual’s behavior pattern that helps him treat the subject well. I can see that purpose of data collection is rather noble, there is nothing wrong in it.
In crime detection data collection is done for the criminals who endanger the population by large. Said data collection is in the interest of the nationals at macro level and the purpose is noble.
Only if data collection is done in respect of an individual by another individual with ulterior motives of knowing his or her private life and secrets or with the motive of causing unwarranted harassments or piracy, indeed such data collection is wrong and criminal.
In nutshell, collection of personal data in respect of any individual is right or wrong shall mainly depend upon the purpose of such data collection. If purpose is good; data collection is right, conversely if purpose wrong such data collection is bad. -------------------(275 Words)

“Internet Provides Valuable Information”
Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I fully agree with the opinion that internet provides huge quantum of information. But I disagree that it creates problem. It would surely create problems to those who collect the entire whole lot of information regardless of its relevancy. Surely yes! Irrelevant information is garbage. In the following paragraphs I shall elaborate my view point.
Before 25 years or so, the Internet was an obscure network of large computers used only by a small community of researchers and hardly anyone imagined that the Internet would play such an important role in our lives as it does today. Today, the Internet is the center of attention for businesses, governments and individuals around the world. It has spawned entirely new industries, transformed existing ones, and become a global cultural phenomenon.
In the years ahead, the Internet will have an even more profound effect on the way we work, live and learn. By enabling instantaneous and seamless communication and commerce around the globe, from almost any device imaginable, this technology will be one of the key cultural and economic forces of the early 21st century.
Internet is such a powerful and compelling technology because first of all from its conception in the academic community to its subsequent development the Internet has evolved into a uniquely independent information exchange--one that is able to grow organically. Internet can operate reliably with little centralized management, and is built entirely on common standards.
In nutshell the internet is a boon to the mankind. The main advantage of new technology is that it amplifies human potential. User must know what information to store and what to delete and trash, so that user has precisely the relevant information and not the garbage heap of irrelevant information. -------------------------------------------------(288 Words)

“Information Technology & Polarized Society”
The age of Information Technology has taken a lot of people by surprise. While it has become a way of life for some, others know very little about it and may be unlikely to learn. Eventually we will have a polarized society and this will lead to serious social problem.
To what extent you agree with this statement?
(Write minimum 250 Words)
-------------------------------------------------------
While I fully agree that information technology is a great surprise to the people but I totally disagree that information technology would result into a polarized society and may lead to serious social problem.
Before introduction of information technology and Computers, the jobs were carried out manually. This involved tremendous amount of manpower, labor, time and money. Documents and records use to be in paper form i.e. in the physical form thus having large mass volume and weight and occupying a huge area. While computers had just begun, computers also were huge in size shape and weight thereby occupying enormous space. Now computers have become as compact as a note-book. Those are known as laptops and can be carried anywhere and operated by putting it on lap. These days, bulk of papers, files, documents, and records have totally been eliminated and entire information and data is stored on hard drive of a computer and can be accessed at any time and anywhere. Also use of internet for information, business, education, communication, health monitoring & management, entertainment is a boon to the human kind. In this time of cut-throat competition, survival is for the fittest and one must keep pace with the time.
In conclusion information technology is now so wide spread that life without it can’t be imagined. It is a boon to human kind. Information Technology must be fully harnessed and optimally utilized for the growth and development. Nevertheless at a micro level, very tiny group of old timers may not be computer literate and may not use it. This in no way polarizes society, thus no serious social problem is foreseen.

“Improve Conditions for Physically Disabled”
In the early 21st century, many cities are being rapidly redeveloped. In this process, the needs of special interest groups, such as people with physical disabilities, are sometimes taken into account.
How can society improve conditions for people with physical disabilities?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Society has a great responsibility towards helping the physically handicapped people. Those are our brethren and we should do everything that we can to help them out. In this essay I shall elaborate what all society and government can do to fulfill this mission.
Most Polio victims are unable to move. For them wheel chairs and specially designed automobiles can be made by automobile manufacturers and sold to them at confessional rates. Government must give all necessary assistance to such manufacturers and give them relief from taxes.
Many a visually impaired people are very good at music those must be given free music lessons, instruments and motivation to develop their skill. Further those can be employed as music teachers in schools. I have come across many visually impaired music teachers during my school days. Also those people do sedentary jobs like running Public Call Offices, transmitting fax messages and Xerox copying business very well, those must be given all necessary assistance by telephone companies whether private or Government.
Those who are hearing impaired can very well be employed as data punch operators or account book writers in the shops, establishments, industrial and business organizations. Those people can very well work on computers or write manually with pen and paper.
In nutshell it is a fundamental and moral responsibility of the society as well as the governments to ensure that the physically challenged population is taken care of and they are also motivated to do the jobs as any other normal human being does and they must always feel themselves at par with normal human beings.

“Important Skill for Success”
What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world today? Choose one skill and use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.
----------------------------------------------------------
I feel, the single most important skill to be successful worldwide is the communication skill and especially interpersonal communication skill.
From the very moment of birth, babies learn to communicate, building on their innate ability to communicate to mother through crying. Thereafter, throughout life, a person's development and progress depends on communication of one form or another. It may be either communicating to or receiving communication from others. Communication skill is an important vehicle for any person on the road to success. Ability to communicate is essential to all. Nevertheless human communication is far more complex and sophisticated. There are many avenues and means of communication that we use. However, for the purpose of this essay, we will focus on interpersonal communication skills, as those skills are crucial to success in many fields of endeavor.
For example, most large companies include communication skills in training program for their staff's career development. For most businesses, their long term success and efficiency receives a valuable contribution from employees with good communication skills. For those who need specific types of communication skills, such as public speaking, special training courses are arranged internally or the employee sent to other training centers. It is an established fact that better one communicates more and more success one gets thereby brightens his or her career and flourishes in the life.
In conclusion, for worldwide success , communication skill is of vital importance because it gives a greater self confidence; one can win the heart of his or her dream partner, or save the marriage, one can manage the staff and deal with people outside of the organization.

“Important Qualities of Good Boss”
What are some important qualities of a good supervisor (boss)? Use specific details and examples to explain why these qualities are important.
---------------------------------------------------------------
A good supervisor should know the job well. If one knows the job well he or she can train subordinates for the job. But if a supervisor lacks job knowledge, the workers would soon make out this weakness and resort to insubordination that spoils the discipline and work culture. A good supervisor must ensure that workers enjoy doing their job and feel happy about it because an unhappy worker can not deliver goods. A supervisor must ensure that workers perform at an optimum level of their efficiency and give maximum quality output. A good supervisor must have leadership qualities. One must possess a good personality and must be able to set forth good examples to the workmen. One must help the new entrants learn the job and perform. The quality of good supervisor is his or her friendly attitude towards subordinates.
A supervisor must be able to create good bond among workers and develop an ideal cooperative work environment. Cooperation is a paramount importance in running the business smoothly and effectively. In absence of cooperation targeted output is impossible to achieve. A supervisor must be a good listener and effective communicator. One must be able to listen and appreciate workers difficulties. Should such difficulties be genuine, he or she must take suitable action to remove those difficulties. Besides, a supervisor with good sense of humor may become very dear of his or her subordinates. Excessive strictness may create distances between workmen and management and harmonious human relations can not be maintained which are important for productivity and profitability.
To summarize, a good boss must be visionary and foresighted with good human relation management capability and he or she must be diplomatic in using the words “Why” and “No” without hurting the worker.

“Important Characteristics of Co-Worker”
We all work or will work in our jobs with many different kinds of people. In your opinion, what are some important characteristics of a co-worker (someone you work closely with)? Use reasons and specific examples to explain why these characteristics are important.
A large number of service class people spend major portion of their time at the work place with their co-workers. Considering an ideal situation, we can divide our one day’s time in three equal segments like: 8 hours for sleep, 8 hours for work and balance 8 hours for family. In a way (1/3rd) one third of our time we spend with our co-workers. If those co-workers are the good quality of persons, we develop and improve our attitudes, behaviors and thus overall personality.
Conversely one can deteriorate his or her personality. It is not out of place to mention here that “People Are Known By Company They Keep”. Hence, co-workers play vital and important role in building one's personality. In my opinion, the essential characteristics of a co-worker are the following.
Ideally a co-worker must be punctual of time, co-operative, thorough at the job, loyal and dedicated worker. One must be good teacher and trainer so that he or she can develop the juniors and rarely peers who are totally new and little less experienced. By remaining in company of such a co-worker one would be motivated to cultivate and maintain all of his or her good points.
In contrast if the co-worker is an unsatisfied person, not having know-how of the job, disloyal, irregular, undisciplined and uncooperative, with low moral and motivation, can certainly have negative and detrimental effect on others that can ruin the work culture and environment. This would injure company’s turnover and proceeds even.
To summarize, an ideal co-worker should possesses all of the aforesaid qualities that make other workers more efficient, effective and highly productive.
(271 Words)

“Importance of Studies & Sports”
It is very important that children should study hard at school. Time spent playing sport is a waste of time. Do you agree? ---- Write minimum 250 Words.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
While I do agree that children must study hard at school but I don’t agree that playing sport is a waste of time.
For school going children studies are a paramount importance. Hard work shall fetch high qualifications and with merits thereby students can make their dream careers come true. Good studies and hard work can generate highly productive professionals and good citizens. Even in business a good management degree is an asset. While competitions are so tough these days, alone literacy is not enough. Survival is for the fittest hence one must be highly qualified to win in competitions. Hence studies are vitally important is a proven fact.
However it is just not possible for any one to go on doing hard work at studies without a break. Alone hard work and study can result into great monotony. Thus every student after the hard work needs a change, some recreation, etc and Sports are the best for this purpose. Games and Sports are equally important as studies. Sports help students maintain a good physique and sound health that is most important in ones life. In absence of a good health one may not be able to concentrate and study as hard as a healthy student would.
Furthermore, some students may turn out to be excellent sportsmen and that is also a highly rewarding position. Sportsmen get not only name and fame but handsome amount of money too. None the less sportsmen become international icons.
In conclusion a student must primarily work hard on studies but he can’t totally ignore games and sports. It is wrong to say that playing sports is a waste of time. Playing sports is rather a creative utilization of time.

“Immunize Children against Diseases”
Should parents be obliged to immunize their children against common childhood diseases? Or do individuals have a right to choose not to immunize their children?
----------------------------------------------------------
In my opinion immunization of children must be mandatory. Immunization is done for prevention of life-threatening diseases among children. Children are an asset of the nation and to have healthy children is a national issue and can’t be left on the mercy or choice of individuals.
“Prevention is better than cure” Immunization is for prevention and that is always better. With so much of advancement in medical science when preventive methods and facilities are available they must be fully availed. Delay in immunization or omitting a dose can also cause Polio to a child and lifelong the child is rendered immobile and helpless that would be most pathetic.
In early days childhood diseases were considered by parents as the anger of the God and destiny. For smallpox people used to visit temples and religious places. They used to meet religious people messiahs at temples, mosques etc and take charms for their children as a part of treatment of those sicknesses. This is one of the most orthodox and unscientific way of dealing with such dreadful diseases. Many a children in past have died of those diseases.
Polio, Smallpox is very common among children. Government periodically arranges mass immunization programs for various childhood diseases. These programs are communicated well in advance thru media and TV, to the masses. Team of doctor’s visit those particular places as per the scheduled program and immunize children. Those teams also travel to countryside villages and even most remote rural areas for immunization program. Everyone must avail this facility and get their children immunized against dreadful childhood diseases in their own interest and in the interest of the nation.
In conclusion immunization should never be a matter of choice, it must be mandatory in the larger interest of a nation.

“If You Could Study a Subject”
If you could study a subject that you have never had the opportunity to study, what would you choose? Explain your choice, using specific reasons and details.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If I have an option and opportunity, I would love to study the subject of “Money”. Robert Kiyosaki says in his book “Rich Dad Poor Dad” that “The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money. The result is that people learn to work for money”.
Most universities teach subjects like Finance Management, Chartered Accountancy and Audits but none teach “Money” and “Wealth” or “Financial Literacy”. Hence I would like to study the subject of “Money”.
Everyone throughout the life keeps struggling to make money without having studied the subject money. As a result one ends up working for money and converse is never true. We never make our money work for us. This book tells about the most important lesson that is how to use our mind and time to create personal wealth. Free ourselves from the proverbial “rat race”. To learn to spot opportunities, create solutions and “mind our own business”. Learn to make money work for us.
The necessity for learning financial literacy comes from the fact that there is no real job security these days. Even after years of hard work, poor and middle class do not have minimum funds for their children’s college education, or their own retirement. Hence it is pointless working for a corporation, the government, and the bank throughout the life. We should awaken our financial genius and gain financial independence and freedom!
The prevailing educational system trains people to be good employees, and not employers. This system does not provide basic financial skills rich people use to grow their wealth. Today it isn’t about how much money we make, it’s about how much we keep, and how many generations we can keep it.
In conclusion I would love to study Money and be a person with finance literacy.

“If You Could Invent Something New”
If you could invent something new, what product would you develop? Use specific details to explain why this invention is needed.
-----------------------------------------------------
If I could invent something new I would invent “Love Dynamics”. In the following paragraphs of this essay I explain the need for it and my viewpoint.
There is a great unrest prevailing worldwide due to wars. Hence there is a need to restore peace and harmony. In order to achieve this I would invent and create “Love Dynamics” where people are taught how to love themselves and others unconditionally. Love is the greatest driving force for good. Most of our problems occur because of lack of love, either for us or for others. Many people don't know value of love, how to express love, and how to be more appreciative. Through these “Love Dynamics”, everyone would learn the principles of love, love for self, to love others and be loved, express love. The basic requirements here are to improve upon the interactive skills, to bridge cultural barriers, to develop greater understanding, to be more expressive and to feel pride and self-esteem.
Once people have more love, they will start looking outward instead of just for themselves. They would be encouraged to use that new positive perception to help others who are less fortunate and underprivileged. There would be harmonious dialogues instead of riots, arson, ransacking, massacres and wars. All differences and conflicts shall be resolved by amicable negotiations. On a personal level, everyone shall help and assist others in their orbit. In that way, we can hopefully eradicate poverty, sufferings and misunderstandings without any one individual or a group becoming victim of those burdens.
Summarizing, everything flows out of love and appreciation of others and whatever we are blessed with shall surely, fall into the right place with help of “Love Dynamics”.

“Human Need for Land Versus Land For Endangered Animals”
Some people think that human needs for farmland, housing, and industry are more important than saving land for endangered animals. Do you agree or disagree with this point of view? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree that human needs of farming, housing and industry are a priority and certainly more important. This is because of the reason that human population is exorbitantly increasing day by day and simultaneously the needs are also increasing. We need more food, more vehicles, more houses, more space for business, more industries and many more. Hence people need more area of land to fulfill these requirements. We need more and more land for farming and agriculture. Land is required for more of airports, roads, hotels, hospitals and what not. However it does not mean that land for endangered animals is unimportant but when it comes to relative importance, the latter gets second priority.
Nevertheless it is a high time that citizens must give a deep thought to the problem of over population and realize the dangers short comings of it. As urged by governments from time to time, people must ensure not to have more than two children in a family.
People must adopt measures of family planning as suggested by Governments. This will greatly help prevent over growth of population and help increase share of resource to every individual. It is not out of place to quote a great advice by a learned man that: - “Reduce Your Needs and You Shall Be Rich.”
In conclusion, although human needs for farmland, housing, and industry are more important saving land for endangered animals is also important. This can be achieved through sincere and dedicated efforts of all countrymen towards exercising control over the increase in population.

“How People Differentiate Children – Adults”
People recognize a difference between children and adults. What events (experiences or ceremonies) make a person an adult? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer
------------------------------------------------
Adulthood can be defined as a stage of biological; physiological and psychological change in a child that makes an impact on his or her character and social status. Those aspects are sometimes inconsistent and contradictory. A person may be biologically an adult, and have adult behavioral characteristics yet may be treated as a child if one is under the legal age of majority. Conversely one may legally be an adult but possess none of the maturity and responsibility that define adult character.
Attainment of adolescence age is the event among many. Some sects perform rites and ceremonies on this occasion. However most modern societies determine legal adulthood based on reaching a legally-specified age without requiring a demonstration of physical maturity or preparation for adulthood. Some more events that are indicative of adulthood in the legal perspective are the eligibility to driving license, voter card and getting into a government job and getting married.
Adulthood is generally believed as the time when physical maturity is complete. One reaches their maximum height and secondary sex characteristics form such as body hair and facial hair, voice lowers in pitch especially noticeable in men, and menses begin in women. Sleep patterns change in adulthood, as adults typically require less sleep than adolescents.
Furthermore a common theory is that adulthood is the real test of life is to experience the world as a first person instead of through the parents. Then the adult can pass those experiences down to younger people and they can experience them when they grow up.
Summing-up, important traits of an adult are: - self-control, emotional control, stability, dynamic personality, ability to govern self and deal with life, sense of responsibility, accountability, commitment, reliability, vision, patience, endurance, experience, understanding, courage to face difficulties and objectivity with perspective and reality.

“How Avoid High Road Toll”
The high road toll is robbing our society of many people who could otherwise be leading useful and productive lives. How can society protect itself from these losses?
-----------------------------------------------
The first and the foremost reason behind high road toll is the overpopulation of the world. The demand of vehicles has enormously increased and resulted into proliferation of automobiles. The numbers of various automobiles have risen dramatically and those automobiles ply on roads round the clock. Aftermath of this drastic rise in automobiles and its movement is the wear and tear to the roads thereby causing numerous fatal accidents.
Said phenomenon calls for and necessitates more frequent upkeep of roads and highways. In the interest of safe transport of human and material, Governments must spend time and money on regular condition monitoring of the roads and highways and its upkeep. At the same time availability of a good public transport shall considerably reduce the movement of private owned vehicles, road accidents and the fatalities. This would also greatly help in maintaining smooth roads and highways that are primarily needed for safe driving. An added advantage shall be reduction in pollution of environment and global warming that shall be a boon to the population by large.
In conclusion, the society may conduct awareness programs on road safety and safe driving practices. Society may educate members to use public transport as much as possible as it is cost-effective and safe. Use of public transport helps in reduction of number of vehicles plying thereby reduction in fatal accidents. Furthermore use of mass transport shall help reducing traffic jams in the peak hours and shall greatly help business class, office goers, and student community. This shall at the same time, greatly help in the Energy and Oil Conservation missions of the respective Governments. Last but not least, reduction in vehicle movement shall greatly reduce road mishaps and fatalities so that people can lead useful and productive lives.

I strongly feel daily homework is good for student’s future career. Homework helps students to understand better and memorize the content that is a paramount importance while writing examination. This habit of doing homework regularly shall make a student good time manager that is of very high importance for all in this fast era of systems. If a student does not understand the assignment, one must follow the following steps: -
# Ask the teacher to explain what one does not understand about the assignment.

Further discipline is a fundamental requirement for any one’s self development that is most important for students community by large. This habit of doing homework regularly shall make a student good time manager that is of very high importance for all in this fast era of systems. I would like to mention here some golden words said by Sir Lord Chesterfield about this matter. “Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”. Says Lord Chesterfield...
If a student does not understand the assignment, one must follow the following steps: -
# Ask the teacher to explain what one does not understand about the assignment.
# Go to school librarian or reference librarian at the local library for assistance.
# Use a local junior college or university library if one is nearby.
# TALK with parents, guardians, or friends for guidance. Often just discussing a matter would make it easier.
In nutshell, multitude of homework shall help in all subjects. Homework assures success in the final examinations with excellent grades and one makes high achievement by way of obtaining graduation; post graduation and professional qualifications.

“Holidays Honor People or Events”
Holidays honor people or events. If you could create a new holiday, what person or event would it honor and how would you want people to celebrate it? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
-------------------------------------------------------
Every country has holidays. And in India we have many holidays. Three are the national holidays and others are the festival holidays and some are in honor of the late noble personalities. But if I could create a new holiday it would be "Birth Control Day”. Presently this is not a holiday in India. On this day all men and women must volunteer for the birth control surgical operations as per medical advice. After this surgery men and women can enjoy normal sex without producing children. This day all surgeries must be free of cost. This shall greatly help controlling rising population growth. In this essay I will elaborate reasons and benefits of this holiday.
The single biggest human activity is increasing the population. The human needs for water, food, housing and fuel are making unprecedented demands on global and local ecosystems. Over population calls for enormous housing constructions this causes trees felling and jungle cutting thereby causing imbalance of ecology. In addition, more vehicles are needed that cause environment pollution by way of carbon mono oxide and carbon-dioxide. Furthermore Heat generation add to global warming.
Massive industrialization causes tremendous amount of gases in the atmosphere that has caused depletion in ozone layer resulting into shortage of Oxygen. Many other liquids discharged in form of effluents contaminate the earth thereby most fertile land turns into barren. In addition, Global warming represents a profound and emerging threat to biodiversity around the world.
In conclusion a gazette holiday as a “Birth Control Day” shall prove to be a boon for the society.

“Historic Buildings Preserve or Destroy?”
Should a city try to preserve its old, historic buildings or destroy them and replace them with modern buildings? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I am strongly of the view that historical buildings must be protected and preserved. Those are memories of our ancestors, those indicate of the past history of the people and places. Our profound emotions are attached to those and we are sentimentally and emotionally involved with those memories of our ancestors. We preserve the photographs of our great grandparents, grandparents and even parents for that matter and also we tend to preserve of our childhood; and we occasionally witness those and cherish the memories of past and feel happy. Just as we protect those memories, we must protect old historic buildings too.
Secondly, history is the study of the past, focused on human activity and leading up to the present day. More precisely, history is the continuous, systematic narration of past events with extensive research work into it. The old historic buildings and monuments are the most important and valid source for the study and research work on the subject of history for historians; those who study it as a profession.
Old historic buildings attract tourists from various countries and thereby importance of that place increases. It also boosts the revenue to the government through department of tourism this strengthens economy of the nation.
In conclusion, it has been very validly explained in a quotation by David C. McCullough; that “History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are”. We must never destroy old historical buildings and monuments; rather we must preserve them and protect them how best we can.

“Hiring Employees for Lifetime”
Businesses should hire employees for their entire lives. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree that businesses should hire the people on life time basis. With the age people depreciate in health thereby person’s working capacity reduces. One many develop health problems like Arthritis Weak Vision; Hypertension; and many more. An old man with all those constraints can not give required output and the business may suffer or even may get paralyzed for that matter. Needless to say business is after all business and not a charity hence if the person is unable to deliver goods he or she must either volunteer to retire else must be forced to retire. Emotions in business never work.
Furthermore very great innovations and improvements are taking place day and on. Newer technologies and techniques with ingenious gadgets with quite unique modus operandi are coming into the market. An old person is not aware of these nor can he or she adjust with it. Besides, it is difficult for old aged persons to keep pace with the time in this rapidly changing scenario. A lack of speed may result into heavy losses or even closure of that company. This does not only cause loss of money to the business owner but also to the general public by large who are the end users of this company’s products and service. Low outputs and low turnover do not only affect the company owner but it has a negative impact on national economy too.
In conclusion business must be management oriented and not emotion oriented. In the interest of the high turnover and proceeds, older employees must retire and new generation with new ideas, techniques, and zeal must work for the company. And none should be employed on lifetime basis.

“High Pay Long Hours Job”
Which would you choose: a high-paying job with long hours that would give you little time with family and friends or a lower-paying job with shorter hours that would give you more time with family and friends? Explain your choice, using specific reasons and details.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would prefer to have less working hours and moderately less salary. Ideal working hours are eight per day. Rarely extension of working hours is tolerable but if that becomes a regular feature it would be impossible to cope. However money is no criteria.
Working time refers to the period of time that an individual spends at work as a paid worker. Many countries regulate the work week by law, such as stipulating minimum daily rest periods, annual holidays and a maximum number of working hours per week. The 8-hour day movement or 40-hour week movement had its origins. In some industries the mass production transforms working life and imposes long hours and poor working conditions. With unregulated working conditions, the health, welfare and morale of working people suffers. The working day that could range from 10 hours up to 16 hours for six days a week is an undesirable situation.
Long hours working affects the health of the worker adversely and one may soon end up miserably. After all, “Health is Wealth”. A trifling amount of overtime wages can not compensate the health loss. Hence every worker must not only look at the tangible gains of a trifling overtime wage, but one must look at the intangible gains. Secondly every worker has a family, friends and a social circle. If a person is unable to give any time for family, friends and the society one does no justice to the near and dear ones. After all man is a social creature so he or she must fulfill all family as well as social obligations too.
In conclusion every one must work, earn money, enjoy with family, friends, relatives and the society but one should not become a workaholic.

“Has Television Destroyed Communication?”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Television has destroyed communication among friends and family. Use specific examples to support your opinion.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree that television has destroyed communication between friends and family members. Nevertheless it has adversely affected the communication to some extent.
Earlier, children loved to visit other houses with their parents. But nowadays, if we ask them to join us, they will say, please, we will sit at home and watch TV. They prefer sitting at home and watching TV over visiting relatives. It is also not a good practice to place TV in the dining room. In the busy modern times, there is lack of communication between the family members. Watching television during Dinner and lunch must be avoided.
The present trend in the theme of serials is not satisfactory. In all the stories, importance is given to the negative aspects of human personality. They depict the unhealthy relationships between the man and the wife, the shortcuts to divorces. Violence is given preference. By watching such programs all through the time, the behaviors of even the adults seem to have changed. They have turned narrow-minded and they tend to find fault with others, enjoy gossips and resort to negative thinking.
Earlier grandparents loved to look after the younger. But now the modern grandma and pa don’t find time to spend with grandchildren because of these never-ending soaps. This is a cyclic process. Children learn through imitation. If the elderly persons are behaving like this, children can’t be blamed.
In conclusion, we can’t say that TV has destroyed communication. We must account for the benefits of TV. By viewing the news; Sports and Business programs, we get entertainment and information about all the happenings around the world. The programs on education, quiz, health and development are beneficial to students also.

“Handmade Products Verses Machine-made”
Some items (such as clothes or furniture) can be made by hand or by machine. Which do you prefer — items made by hand or items made by machine? Use reasons and specific examples to explain your choice.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I prefer hand-made items in furniture and clothing (fabrics). Use of manmade items gives boost to handicrafts and cottage industries. I am from India and in this essay I shall describe all about man-made furniture that are extremely popular all over the world and extensively used in other advanced countries.
In India, there are many areas where wooden handicraft work has been done traditionally since last many centuries. But the handicrafts of Sankheda in Gujarat – India, have a unique identity among all. The name and fame has spread not only in India but all over the world. This furniture is very popular and exported to countries like UK, USA and Canada. Today there are very few skilled artisans and artists left who produce great, artistic furniture with historical values. Indians feel proud to continue centuries old traditions. The Sankheda carpenters have kept up with the age of automation as far as some of their tools are concerned but not at the cost of compromising on the inherent quality of the art. Several families in the village are involved in satisfying the growing demand for the furniture, which has made the village famous. Some export directly to the clients while others supply through export houses.
Furthermore, manmade fabrics clothe the common man. Manmade textiles have emerged as a major source of clothing as well as a fierce global competition of exports of Man-Made Fibers and Textiles. Yarn and fiber exports are much stronger than fabric and made-up shipments.
In nutshell, if we use man made furniture items and fabrics we shall help clothe the commoners and boost the Indian home cottage industry of furniture and fabrics.

Explanation of my hurt and wounded emotion on TV Soap "LADO"
Subject: - TV Serial “LADO” gives wrong and dirty picture of Rajasthan population.
Killing of new born baby girls and the brutal manner in which the village doctor was beaten-up by the Lady’s men and when the victim was rendered totally helpless and unable to creep even, the Lady’s men were shown laughing and enjoying the pathetic scenario. This is a totally wrong and misleading picture of Rajasthan population being projected in TV Soap “LADO”. Furthermore the Lady’s any daughter-in-law delivering a baby girl has to work all through her life as a maid including doctor’s daughter and the kind of cruelty being shown in this soap that horrifies and shakes the nerves of the viewers. This is the gross deterioration of morality and the human values. This is MOST UNFORTUNATE.
This serial may generate hatred towards Rajasthan population in the minds of the other people and they may be scared of building any relations or friendships with Rajasthan guys that is unhealthy, painful, and sad.
I am T D Joshi, from Vadodara (Erstwhile Baroda). I am 67 years. I am born and brought up in Rajasthan and educated there. I had the company of Rajasthanis, Marwaris and Mewaris from my birth up to the age of 25 years. I know this population is little orthodox and staunch believer of the olden value systems. The population can broadly be categorized as educated and uneducated from rural areas. The section of rural population can further be classified in two categories i.e. farmers and laborers. The latter ones are more orthodox and they use to perform child marriages. However in the educate strata there were no child marriages at all. More so, in the uneducated rural labor class the child marriages were popular and they used to dislike baby girls, however said strata was not cruel to girls as it is projected in the TV soap “LADO”.
In the above write-up, I have tried to merely vent and explain my hurt and wounded emotion. Readers may please comment.

“Group Organizations”
Groups or organizations are an important part of some people’s lives. Why are groups or organizations important to people? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
--------------------------------------------
A group is defined as a collection of people, who share certain traits, interact with one another, accept expectations and obligations as members of the group, and share a common identity and work for one or more common goals. According to this definition, society appears as a large organization comprising of various groups.
Primary groups’ constitute of small groups with intimate, kith-kin based relationships: families, for example. They commonly last for years. They are small and display face to face interaction. Those who participate in or for study groups focus on adequately functioning their groups with larger organizations, or with the decisions made in these organizations.
Conversely secondary groups are bigger groups where relationships are formal and institutional. Some groups may last for years but some may dissolve after a short time. The primary groups are formed within the secondary group. Individuals almost universally have a bond toward what are known as "Reference Groups". These are the groups to which an individual conceptually relates oneself, and from there, one adopts goals and values as a part of their own self identity. If one brings a small collection of strangers together in a restricted space and environment, provide a common goal, and maybe a few ground rules, a predictable flow of behavior will follow. Interaction between individuals is the basic requirement.
In conclusion, group working is like a team work, where all work for a common goal. Members of a group work in cooperation and it is worth remembering here that nothing can be achieved remaining in isolation. Schools, Colleges and Universities also have Group Discussion as a part of academia. It is evident that how important are the groups and finally a “Group Organization”. Hence group working is most important and highly beneficial.

“Group Member versus Leader”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is better to be a member of a group than to be the leader of a group. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
-----------------------------------------
I don’t agree that it is better to be a group member. I would prefer to be a leader than a member. If a person has an ability to lead a group he or she may opt to become group leader rather than group member.
By definition a group is the collection of persons. Groups are of various types having different purposes. For example Social Group, Work Group, Student Groups, Quality Circles, Management Group or Business Groups etc. There are many advantages of group working.
In group organizational situations, people tend to take full control of the situation and responsibility for the organization including preparation for the task that needs to be taken care of. Otherwise take no leadership role at all and very dutifully follow commands. As a leader, people tend to be assertive, and demand a lot from fellow members. Leader is equally comfortable organizing and being organized. It is important for the leader to have a strong understanding of own body language from the style of standing, dress code and laughing, these physical elements of one’s persona are a paramount importance.
Advantages of working in groups are: -
· Problem can be solved faster and easier.
· Any time more than one person work together to solve a problem it is usually more efficient.
· When working in a group it allows people to think as one and help others. Problem solving becomes easier when people work together.
· Each member of the group has something unique that one can contribute. Member’s ideas help them to broaden their horizons.
In nut shell I would opt to become leader than a member. I can derive enormous pleasure and self esteem from making things work through my creativity and collaborative process.

“Grades Encourage Students”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Grades (marks) encourage students to learn. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion
------------------------------------------------------
I agree that grades encourage students to learn and perform better. Grades are the indicators of the progress made by the student and improvements needed. High grades motivate and encourage pupil to work harder and achieve still higher grades and goals. Furthermore grades indicate as to in what areas student needs to work harder in order to improve. This enables the student to work hard, prepare well for the examination and pass out. This enables student to achieve the goal.
Grading inhibits constructive evaluation. Evaluation of student performance is essential, but it should serve to promote student learning. Ideally, the evaluation process would help students discover their weaknesses and ways to improve upon and achieve important goals.
Probably in some cases, grading might defeat this purpose by causing discouragement in some students, who receive below-average grades. Constructive evaluation encourages students to exert maximum effort by emphasizing their strengths, identifying concrete ways for them to improve, and providing them with positive reinforcement for progress. However “Mandatory Grading” may not promote critical thinking and long-term retention.
Competitive grading system emphasizes more on judging rather than learning. Assigning competitive grades adversely affects student-teacher relationship by turning teachers into students' enemies that justifies inadequate teaching methods, trivializing course content, encouraging evaluation methods that misdirect and inhibit student learning, and rewarding teachers.
In nutshell, grading should be fair and inhibit constructive evaluation. Evaluation of student performance is essential, and it should serve to promote student learning. Ideally, the evaluation process would help students to identify their weaknesses and take appropriate ways to improve upon and achievement of important goals.

“Good Roommate’s Qualities”
Many students have to live with roommate while going to school or university. What are some of the important qualities of a good roommate? Use specific reasons and examples to explain why these qualities are important.
--------------------------------------
Majority students live with roommate while studying in school or university. In this essay we shall look at some important qualities of a good roommate.
We as human beings live in a society and we are all social creatures. In the dorms, we all have some roommate and in turn we are roommate to them. We live in one room, we communicate with them and so they do. Everyone would like a sensible and trustworthy roommate. Good roommates try and help each other how best they can and solve problems of each other with mutually. A roommate must be reliable, honest, trustworthy, and cooperative. Conversely our roommate also expects equal reciprocation.
While we may be too far away from our parents, brothers, sisters and close relatives or friends, depending upon our location, but roommate is the one who is nearest to us. Hence in any unforeseen and uncalled for contingency like our sickness, an accidental injury it is the roommate who comes forward and helps us the most. Here I am reminded of a proverb “A Good Roommate Is a Priceless Treasure”.
However some roommate may be little reserved and introvert. Those are shy kind of guys; instead of face to face talks; they like to use telephone or the cell phone for that matter. This slightly reduces the personal touch in human relation. This situation must be tackled gently with love and affection rather than scolding and yelling. Nobody anyway likes roommate’ disturb, annoy and cause troubles to them or they unnecessarily interfere in their matters hence we as good roommates must avoid to do so.
In conclusion some good qualities of a roommate are reliability, honesty, trustworthiness, and cooperation. At the same time we too must equally reciprocate for an everlasting friendship.

“Good Gift for Child’s Development”
A gift (such as a camera, a soccer ball, or an animal) can contribute to a child’s development. What gift would you give to help a child develop? Why? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice
I would prefer to present soccer ball instead of camera or a pet. Soccer is a game like foot ball that teaches the child a game and it is useful for the physical and mental development of the child.
A camera will tempt the child o always keep on taking photographs and photography is a pretty expensive hobby. Moreover it hardly contributes toward the child’s development.
It calls for a recurring expenditure in the future days to come.
So long as gifting a pet is concerned, children and pets go very well with each other. It is natural that child would be tempted to play with the pet much more than anything else. This in turn would have an adverse effect on his or her studies that is not desirable. Secondly a pet has to be taken care as good as a family member. Giving a pet may make the parents and other family members unhappy on account of forth coming recurring expenditure toward maintenances of a pet in the house including its health care. Also a pet owner has to have sign boards displayed on his house for the guests and by passers cautioning them. This is a legal aspect of keeping a pet. Not to forget some people are highly allergic to pets and many have dog or cat phobias too. Under those circumstances, gifting a pet may cause more harm than good. Sometimes it may prove to be a curse and not the gift.
In nutshell children must be given such a gift that helps them to study more and more and have significant contribution toward overall development of the child.

“Go On Vacation or Buy Car”
A friend of yours has received some money and plans to use all of it either to go on vacation or to buy a car. Your friend has asked you for advice. Compare your friend’s two choices and explain which one you think your friend should choose. Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.
=====================================
My friend is a Software professional and works for long hours everyday. I would advise him to avail a vacation that has many benefits. Vacations benefit your health and mind. While relaxation and exposure to culture are obvious benefits, there’s a wealth of other rewards too:
Firstly people who take vacations reduce on their risk of illness. Men who do not take any vacations have the greater risk of heart disease. Furthermore taking vacations improve the mental health. Women who take frequent vacations don’t become depressed, tense, or tired. Conversely women who rarely take vacations are likelier to have stress and sleeplessness.
Secondly a vacation reconnects and revitalizes relationships that have taken a toll from an on-call, always-on, and work-obsessed culture. Very long hours of duties cause family and social relationships to suffer. Moreover vacations let you feel immense freedom. You can wake up when you want, sleep when you want, and eat what you want and have fun without worrying about the work.
By taking vacation one Gains self confidence. When you skip vacations, you put yourself on sale. By availing a vacation, you declare to yourself and to others that you are important and deserve dedicated time for yourself. Over and above one finds creative inspiration. Throughout the year we follow a strict schedule. We eat at the same restaurants, see the same people, and experience the same environment. This monotony reduces the opportunities for inspiration and for new ways of thinking. By traveling to a new environment, we put ourselves in a situation that allows our brains to think differently.
Summarizing, one becomes more productive by scheduling a vacation. One becomes more efficient. Hence I would advise my friend to avail a nice vacation instead of buying a car.

“Gift of Money with School”
Your school has received a gift of money. What do you think is the best way for your school to spend this money? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.
----------------------------------------------------
In general, majority schools are quite well off. They have enough infrastructure facilities and funds for the educational purposes. As such I feel the best way to spend the said gift money shall be by taking the students to a nice picnic spot of an educational value for a tour. In this essay I shall elaborate benefits of such tours.
When a student visits new places, he or she learns about the new places, people and cultures that is also a vital part of education. By knowing more one acquires a bulk of information and broadens his or her outlook. Not out of place to mention here that “Information is Power”. Extensive exposure of a person to various new places makes that person a dynamic personality.
Confinement to one place makes the life of an individual very monotonous and boring. One can’t learn any thing more than what one knows. The knowledge remains limited and so is experience too. He or she has a very limited or no exposure to the outer world. Also one can not learn or acquire multifarious knowledge and experience.
In nut shell I feel it is a better idea for the school to utilize the said gift money towards an excursion trip. Taking students to newer places not only for entertain or amusement but also in order to increase their exposure and improve their outlook and personality in totality is a great idea. It is always good for students to sometimes visit new places instead of confining to one place. By this they acquire a lot of information and knowledge and experience that is very precious and important for an individual’s education and overall development.

“Generation Difference”
Every generation of people is different in important ways. How is your generation different from your parents’ generation? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
----------------------------------------------------
Generation gap is a term used to describe differences in cultural norms between members of a younger generation and their older. This is when older and younger people do not understand each other because of their different experiences, opinions, habits and behavior. None is exception to this phenomenon. In this essay I will elaborate on generation difference.
The prompt response in decision-making is a characteristic of today’s young people. They have learnt to act fast. The video games young people have grown up with have played a vital role. They have played with simulations since their childhood and have learned to act fast, observe what happens, and adapt. I don’t remember to have imagined of a video game in my childhood. The games I knew about were Kabbadi; Musical Chair; Foot Ball & Volley Ball etc.
The concept of career has changed. Young people talk more about jobs and skills than they do about career paths. They don’t see any benefit in picking a single career. Rather young people hunt for more than one career parallel. Life in the new millennium is all about speed. In a climate of rapid change the younger knows to act fast and win or stay in the game. Those who proceed slowly and cautiously lose. The Information era has taught never to wait for anything. Computer simulations help formulate ideas, test them, retest, refine and move forward. Younger believes in just doing it at the speed of thought.
In conclusion; loyalty has new meaning among younger generation that sees parents little downsized and reengineered. They know the days of corporate loyalty are long gone. Young people now look after themselves first and they reciprocate loyalty to the cause or organization wherever they feel respected and valued.

“Games Equally Important For Children and Adults”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Games are as important for adults as they are for children. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
---------------------------------------------------------
I fully agree that games are equally important for adults as they are for children.
Games are means of entertainment and physical exercise for children and adults. Games create; sportsman spirit, sprit of friendship and good bond with fellow players. Playing games improves physical and mental health. Furthermore playing games has very good effect on the mental as well as physical health of the individual regardless of age.
In this fast era, adults are awfully busy in business activities and other family and social obligations. There is a considerable lack of physical exercise in our lives. Depending upon the nature of work one is prone to health problems. Sedentary job doers get problems of obesity; over weight; cervical spondylitis; troubles in spine; back ache and muscular pains due to sitting in front of computers for prolonged hours. Secondly those who work in hydro carbon processing industries and other chemical and fertilizer plants are subjected to breathing problems, hearing problems etc. This is due to their exposure to gaseous and noisy atmosphere. If those adults include games as a part of their daily schedule; perhaps those health problems can be minimized if not prevented.
As a natural phenomenon; with the age people depreciate in health. Furthermore, between the age range of 60 and 65 majority people retire from job. This phase proves to be a curse to many because they are unable to handle their retirement gracefully. On the contrary they get drowned into deep depression because of joblessness and emptiness. Those deteriorate physically and mentally. If retired adults involve themselves into playing games the depression would vanish; they would lead the life with healthy body and healthy mind.
In nutshell playing games and keeping fit always, is most important for adults as well as children.

“Games & Life”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Playing games teaches us about life. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree that playing games can teach us about life. In this era of computerization now games are available in electronic form. In this essay I shall describe e-games and their influence on our lives.
Children play educational games to learn colors, numbers, and names. Virtually all children will have played video games by the time they graduate from high school. Game play is common in college, as well. Some people play games regularly whereas others play occasionally. However, games aren’t just for youth; anyone can play games regardless of age. Gaming has become part of our culture. Today’s games are coming to represent distributed authentic professionalism,” meaning that players are learning how to be a professional—a solider, an astronaut, an entrepreneur, and so on. Games also require the player to adopt a certain set of values and a particular world view. By the end of the game, the player has essentially experienced a profession. Various types of games are as follows.
· Adventure games, where the player moves through a virtual world.
· Puzzle games that enhance player’s general knowledge.
· Role-playing games, where the player assumes the role of a person.
· Strategy games, such as The Sims, where a player’s strategy drives the game.
· Jeopardy-style games, encourage quick mobilization of facts, labels, concrete concepts
· Arcade-style games, are good for improving speed of response, and visual processing
· Adventure games, are useful for promoting hypothesis testing and problem solving.
In nutshell, games teach us quite a lot about life like making decisions, goals setting etc and a social networking through networking and emailing.

“Foreign Visitor for a Day”
A foreign visitor has only one day to spend in your country. Where should this visitor go on that day? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was on a south India tour to Tirupathi Balaji, Mysoor, Kunoor and Ooty. There I met many tourists from different countries. I had interactions with them and found that foreign nationals from developed nations like US and UK are more interested in small towns and country side villages than Indian metro cities. The visitors don’t find anything new in metros as they say. Hence I would like to take the foreigner to my country side village Chandod. I will elaborate why I want so.
Scenery of farms all over side is hilarious. When we reach the village, the villagers shall be overexcited to see a foreigner, this being a rare opportunity for them. Well, Indians are well-known for their politeness, and hospitality. The kind of hospitality the visitor shall get in this village would be second to none in the world and he or she would be delighted to receive such a warm welcome. Visitor may have a chance to have a bullock-cart ride for fun sake.
My village Chandod is on the bank of holy river Narmada. This is a very religious place and people from all over India including many NRI also come here and holy dip in Narmada river. The visitor shall have a privilege to visit the famous temple with ancient sculpture and have a holy dip in the river Narmada. Most foreigners love Indian culture very much that is evident from the live telecasts from Allahabad on Janmasthami (Lord Krishna’s birthday). Many foreign nationals dressed as Hindu Sadhus in saffron gowns sing and dance with the Indian men and women.
Also the visitor shall have an opportunity to taste Indian village food that has a unique taste that is absent in the food prepared in our big cities.

“Does Foreign Aid Work”
Does foreign aid work? Or does it only help the rich country by keeping the poorer country dependent?
------------------------------------------------------------
Richer countries must help poorer countries. Following are the supporting grounds for my view point.
Today, the world is becoming more and more closely linked. However, billions of people still live in poverty, and in many places, the gap between rich and poor is widening. There are many reasons for helping poor countries. First of all, it is the humanitarian. Many industrialists donate in charity. Many feel it is religious, social, and moral duty to help the fellow countrymen who are the victims of famine, drought, war, or disease. The reason why many countries help poorer ones is for economic reasons. The donors may want to control the supply of commodities such as oil, water, or wheat. Alternatively, the richer country may want to ensure markets for their own products, whether these are planes, computers or shoes. However, aid is not necessarily the best way to help a country. It is a proven fact that billions of dollars of the aid invariably go into the valets of corrupt governments or administrative authorities. Poor and needy are never helped.
There are many other ways we can help poor countries. Opening up trade barriers, so that poor countries can sell their goods is one way. Another is to remove subsidies so that imported goods from poorer countries can compete fairly. A third method is to forgive debts. Many poor countries have huge interest repayments on old loans.
The needs of the poorer countries may seem obvious. However, though our humanity makes us want to help eliminate poverty and suffering, we must examine the real needs of poor countries and implement solutions that will benefit both them and us.

First Impression about Person
Some people trust their first impressions about a person’s character because they believe these judgments are generally correct. Other people do not judge a person’s character quickly because they believe first impressions are often wrong. Compare these two attitudes. Which attitude do you agree with? Support your choice with specific examples.
------------------------------------------------------------
First impressions are often correct and those are lasting impressions. But taking it for granted that such first impressions are always correct would be totally wrong.
In the case of interviews on the business front and jobs, within the first few seconds of a new encounter, interviewees are evaluated… even at a glance. Interviewers appraise your visual and behavioral appearance from head to toe. They observe your demeanor, mannerisms, and body language and even assess your grooming and accessories – watch, handbag, and briefcase. Within only three seconds, you make an indelible impression. You may intrigue some and disenchant others. This first impression process occurs in every new situation. Within the first few seconds, people pass judgment on you – looking for common surface clues. Once the first impression is made, it is lasts long.
When you make the best possible first impression, you have your interviewers in your fist. But when you make a poor first impression, you lose, no matter how hard you scramble to recover it.
In conclusion, hiring for a job or getting married both are the long term prepositions involving personal interviews. In either case interviewee gives a very good first impression to the interviewer and vice versa. Based on these impressions, decisions are taken. But not all employment or marriages last very long. Some marriages end-up into divorces and some employers fire the employee and vice versa. If first impression would be always correct this would never happen. In a way first impressions are more often than not correct but it is unwise and unsafe to assume that first impressions are always correct.

“Family Has Most Important Influence on Young Adults”
Some people think that the family is the most important influence on young adults. Other people think that friends are the most important influence on young adults. Which view do you agree with? Use examples to support your position
---------------------------------------------------
I agree family do influence the life of young-adult. It is the environment that gives shape to any personality. Hence every young adult has a great influence of the surrounding in which one lives. Quite obvious the builders of any such environment are the parents.
If parents in a house are very loving, caring, soft spoken, non smokers, and teetotaler and disciplined, youngsters learn good things. Conversely if parents are smokers, drinkers, quarrelsome, using offensive language and undisciplined, youngsters would learn bad things and shall reproduce and repeat those behaviors. Family is the one with whom youngsters spend majority of time and hence a family is the real character builder of the young.
However friends too can have greater positive influence over many areas of a teen’s emerging identity. Provided choice of friend is right and good. Their choice of music, movies, clothes, boyfriends or girlfriends, classes, jobs, and so on. In some teens, it doesn’t stop here; it also covers the personal standards of behavior, school performance, morals and values. Conversely on choosing wrong friends, sometimes teens become more susceptible to negative influences from friends, like getting addicted to smoking, drinking, drug-abuse and premature sex and many more. However the supportive and trusting relationships with parents, elderly relatives and teachers prove to be the powerful tools that enable youngsters to overcome these problems and can enhance youngster’s sense of responsibility, belonging and academic achievement.
In conclusion a family is the most important influence on young adults. After a fundamentally sound education at home, the young-adult performs well and progresses consistently. In the later years of a young-adult’s career parents must devote some more time and educate them. This shall have a very positive impact on the minds of the young-adults and they will perform well.

“Face to Face Communication”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication, such as letters, email, or telephone calls. Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.
------------------------------------------------
I fully agree that face to face communication is superior to electronic mode of communication. Even in this computer era, Face-to-face communication skills still remain the most vital need to career success. “Consistent, daily face-to-face communication in addition to just good feelings promotes effective and collaborative teamwork.”
Face-to-face communication remains the most powerful tool for human interaction. However fashionable and sophisticated the electronic devices may be, those can never fully replace the intimacy and immediacy of people conversing face to face in the same room. For most superior quality of interaction, it is always helpful to go back to the basics and get face-to-face. Face to face communication has worked miracles in communication for millions of years. Thousands of experts opine that the best communication occurs only when a speaker and a listener are facing each other in the same room. “Eye contact, facial expressions, body movements, space, time, distance, appearance—all these nonverbal clues influence the way the message is interpreted, or decoded, by the receiver.
Disadvantages of impersonal communication are: -
· Conflict: When masses of people are extremely upset, it is impossible to cool them down from a long distance.
· Emotion: When people in masses, are in great emotional distress, they respond more positively to in-person contact than to electrically transmitted messages.
· Priority: Where the situation involves timely launching and rollout of a product which is essential to the success of the company and the team, needs face to face communication in one premises and not the distant communication.
In conclusion, Face to Face Communication is superior to electronic communication. However many routine type of communication like acknowledgement slips, money receipts etc can be sent through electronic mail without any loss.

“Equal Funds for Sports & Libraries”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I do not agree to the term “same amount”. Fund allocation is a company policy and depends on need and availability. I shall elaborate my view point in this essay.
The objective of any university is to educate students to acquire highest academic qualification. Furthermore provide all possible material, help and assistance for research projects and advanced study. Allocate funds accordingly.
A library is a collection of information, sources, resources and services, organized for use, and maintained by a university. In the more traditional sense, it is the collection of books. This collection and services are used by people who choose not to buy or cannot afford to buy an extensive collection themselves. Research scholars need extensive material and no individual can be expected to buy and possess this large quantum of material.
Nevertheless, sports are equally important for students thus universities must not ignore sports activities. There must be enough fund allocation for sport activities. Games and Sports are important not only from the view point of entertainment and amusement of the students but equally from the view point of their fitness and sound physical and mental health. After the student’s prolonged monotony when students are totally worked up, games and sports is the only way to overcome the stress of monotony. Some team of university students may generate very high class sportsmen or players of international standards. Those shall bring a very good name and fame to the university.
In nutshell a university, depending upon its policy matter, may or may not allocate equal fund for library and sports. However enough fund allocation must be there for sports such that sports and games activities don’t get slowed down or paralyzed.

“Enjoy Money or Save”
Is it better to enjoy your money when you earn it or is it better to save your money for some time in the future? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
--------------------------------------------------
It is always better to enjoy money when it is available to you. Whatever balance money you have after fulfilling your basic needs and enjoyment can be kept aside as saving for contingencies. Many people earn enormous amount of money and don’t at all spend for their own entertainment and amusement those people are misers and do self neglect.
Every one born is bound to die one day. God gives human life to eat drink and be merry and to enjoy the life to fullest. As the time goes by one becomes old and approaches toward an end. After the end there is no chance to enjoy. By not enjoying during the life span one does gross injustice to him or her.
I came across an article by an Indian gentleman from Gujarat. The article was about a huge amount of money and gold saved by his father in addition to the money earned and saved by him over a period of several years. As the article described, both father and son never enjoyed their money. They were busy providing money for their younger generation and towards contingencies. The bank in which they had account went into moratorium and they lost more than 50% of the money. A big quantum from the balance 50 % was lost in two consecutive natural calamities, those were floods followed by an earthquake. In a way the writer has stressed upon readers to enjoy their money earn to the fullest.
In conclusion, one most enjoy money to the fullest. Saving can be done for contingencies but not at the cost of comforts. Sacrificing and saving is not a saving at all.

“Education is a life long task”
Education is a lifelong task. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons to support your idea.
--------------------------------------------------
I fully agree that education is a lifelong process. In this essay I shall elaborate my point of view.
World is dramatically developing and thereby changing day and on. In this fast changing scenario, people must continuously learn and educate themselves to keep pace with the time and be the fittest as “Survival Is for the Fittest” and one who can not keep pace with the time cannot survive. Also keeping well informed is most important because “Information Is Power”.
Looking back to entertainment and information, gramophone and radio are obsolete now. Those have been replaced by television and internet. Handy mobile cell phones have replaced stationary big and bulky telephones. Communication via sea & air has been replaced by electronic mail popularly known as Email. Now Email is the fastest, reliable and widely accepted.
Computerization is so fast improving that one must keep up-to-date information of the latest development and products. Now Air Booking, Rail Booking, Shopping, Banking everything is available on line. One can perform these operations at his desktop and laptop. “Sky is the limit”
Necessity is the mother of invention, and necessity brings innovation. In the very beginning, computers were very huge in size, shape & weight, now we have PCs that can be put on working desk. Besides now computers are available as Laptops that are very lightweight and compact and can be carried anywhere and can be operated by putting them on lap.
In a nutshell, in all walks of life, the scenario is changing fast. One must learn and be educated about all those developments. This can be achieved only if we follow the principle “Education Is A Life Long Process”.
