“Success Comes With Hard Work or Luck”

“When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success.” Do you agree or disagree with the quotation above? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I fully agree that “Success Is Because Of Hard Work and Not Because Of Luck”
To support, I would like to mention a notable quotations that says
*Work is Worship* ~~~“Gita” is a religious book of Hindus. Said book has been worldwide accepted as the “Bible of the Management” the gist of this book is that everyone must persistently work without being bothered about the final reward. The rewards of the hard work are bound to be excellent.
For example a great entrepreneur and creator of an empire is Late Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani of India. He was born in a country side village and his father was a School Teacher with a meager income. Mr. Dhirubhai after having passed his tenth grade went to Aden where he was hired as a petrol pump attendant. One fine day he got an idea of building up his own Oil Refinery. Although it sounds like a crazy idea for a petrol pump attendant to want to build a refinery of his own however he could build the biggest grass root Oil Refinery of the world in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. This is well known worldwide as Reliance's 25-Million Metric Ton Oil Refinery that went on stream in 1999. This achievement is due to the persistent hard work of Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani.
Another example of hard work is that of Mr. Warren Buffet, one of the wealthiest men in the world. Mr. Warren Buffet was not a born CEO or investor or chess grandmaster. He achieved the greatness only through an enormous amount of hard work.
In conclusion nobody is great without work. It may be nice to be lucky but it doesn't happen. There's no evidence of high achievement without hard work.
“Success Comes From Taking Risks”
Some people believe that success in life comes from taking risks or chances. Others believe that success results from careful planning. In your opinion, what does success come from? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sometimes, you hear people debate whether business success is attributable more to business techniques or chance taking and risk taking. The answer, of course, is both, but the point where the two intersect is risk management. A huge percentage of business success or failure can be laid at the doorstep of risk management.

Simply chance taking is a fluke and success can’t be achieved by fluke. Secondly word that comes is “RISK”. I do agree “No Risk No Gain” but the risk has to be a calculated risk and not at random. Randomization in risk taking may lead the businessman to bankruptcy and one may turn out to be popper. This is one reason business is not so easy. It is the unusual blending of traits that allows someone to be prudent with risk.

The same is often true with respect to career and company success. A successful individual may take-up 10 tasks over the period of a year but focuses efforts on a single initiative when it promises high yields. A company may launch 10 products and quickly pull back 9, making significant money on the one that finds ready acceptance in the marketplace.

Even successful artists and inventors, researchers as Dean Keith Simonton found, tend to churn out creative efforts, deriving their fame from the small minority of works that attract the attention of an appreciative world is an example of an excellent planning.

In conclusion success is the end result or the yield of careful planning, time and risk management, and powerful execution. I may mention a notable quote that says “If You Fail To Plan You Are Planning To Fail”. Simply chance taking may result into failures and may be extremely injurious to your wealth.

“Studying At Home with Computers or Television”

In the future, students may have the choice of studying at home by using technology such as computers or television or of studying at traditional schools. Which would you prefer? Use reasons and specific details to explain your choice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would prefer traditional school method of studying to computer and television mode. In this essay I shall elaborate on my viewpoint.
I am strongly of the view that students must attend school regularly without fail. The reason being, classes are conducted on a fixed schedule on a regular basis. This induces the traits of regularity and punctuality in the students and that is very important for good personality building.
Furthermore lectures for instruction in the classes on a particular subject matter and related topics are given by the most qualified and highly experienced professors who are specialized in that particular subject and the area. This gives most valid information and teachings on the subject matter that is very precious. Thus the education imparted is fundamentally strong and that of an excellent quality. To get this high quality of education is impossible for a student staying in isolation with computer and television without attending the classes at school.
On the other hand during the student life, boys and girls have an extremely dominating tendency to play, enjoy and be merry even at the cost of studies. The situation when students are allowed not to attend school would obviously result into basically unsound and poor quality of education. Students are the nation builders and lives of numerous people depend upon them as many may be turn out to be Physicians, Surgeons, Pilots etc. These professions call for fundamentally sound education and that of a very superior quality.
In conclusion, for an individual’s own self development, a disciplined life is most important. And attending schools and classes punctually shall induce said discipline in the university students that is a paramount importance for a powerful personality hence attending school is vitally important for the sound education.
“Study Choice Courses”
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? High schools should allow students to study the courses that students want to study. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A decision of choosing courses and subjects is choosing a career. Said decision is very crucial and vitally important. It is always recommended that such crucial decisions be taken by the mature people like parents, guardians or teachers for that matter and not the students,

A recurring problem in most societies is that students in general do not opt for little harder subjects like mathematics and science. Although there is high availability of lucrative and well-paid jobs in fields that demand mathematics and science. Such jobs are engineering, statistics, teaching and technology. Students see science and mathematics as hard subjects and do not respond to motivational factors such as easier admission to higher education or interesting and important work. I feel we need to be much more direct in our attempts to get students to learn hard sciences in general and mathematics in particular in high school for a brighter career.

In general subjects of science and mathematics make the learner smarter; he or she can make more money. One gets easy admission to college for higher studies. Because we live in a global world that is subjected to constant changes, those subjects are paramount importance. Students with science and mathematics find no doors closed wherever they go. Also science and mathematics are interesting subjects. With those creative subjects one does not only get through into college but in all walks of life.

In nutshell, I feel choosing the subjects at the school level must be properly guided and intervened by the parents, guardians and teachers in the larger interest of the students career and must not be left at the sweet will of the high school students.

“Study Alone or In Groups”

Some students prefer to study alone. Others prefer to study with a group of students. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
--------------------

I prefer to study with the group. Group study enhances students’ performances, both in class discussions, as well as on tests.

Group study pays off because it brings about changes in two ways: it forces students to alter their old ways of thinking and it changes their less effective patterns of behavior. In a group environment, students are less likely to procrastinate. After all, it’s easy to put off an assignment when one is alone and not answerable to anyone. But when a student is in a group of people counting on him or her, one would mostly complete the job.

Group study encourages students to explain things aloud. By speaking to and listening to others, students improve on recall ability, or ability to remember information on test day. Students who study with others are forced to become more organized. Once students learn to date and label their notes, they will see that organized notes make much more sense while preparing for final examination.

One more great benefit of group discussion is that the many perspectives improve student’s chances of anticipating test questions. Group members will always bring up ideas and thoughts one never considered. The various views are sure to pay off on test day! Students shall find that the benefit of group study reaches far beyond the good results on test day. It will build self-confidence that one can use for the rest of his or her life. Speaking to small groups will prepare students for speaking to larger groups in the future.

Summarizing, it is generally recognized that people can accomplish more by sharing their skills and resources than by working alone. The power of groups is widely accepted in the business world and can easily be used by students too.
