“Practicing Sports Advantages and Disadvantages”

Some young children spend a great amount of their time practicing sports. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Sports and Games are vitally important for young children. Broadly games are of two types; Indoor games and outdoor games. Indoor games may include Caroms, Chess, Badminton, Ping-Pong (Table Tennis). Examples of outdoor games are Cricket, Football, Volley ball, Tennis etc. In this essay we shall discuss about importance, advantages and disadvantages of practicing sports and games in our lives.

Depending upon the aptitude of the young child he or she may give relative priority to spots and studies. Person who wants to become a research scholar, an engineer or a management expert, spends great amount of time to sports will be inappropriate because one may not find time for studies and fail in the final examinations. Conversely an average student of Arts and commerce or literature can afford to spend more time on sports and in turn one may becomes a sportsman of international level may make his or her career and brings name and fame to the school.

Games and Sports are important not only from the view point of entertainment and amusement of the young children but equally from the view point of their fitness and sound physical and mental health. After the student’s prolonged monotony when young children are totally worked up, games and sports is the only way to overcome the stress of monotony. Some team of university young children may generate very high class sportsmen or players of international standards. Those shall bring a very good name and fame to the university.

In conclusion sports and games are highly creative activities. These keeps the young children physically fit always. The advantages of sports are many as elaborated above. However there are absolutely no disadvantages of the sports activities.
