In my opinion “Most Important Technological
Discovery” in the history of mankind is the “Wheel”.
Today we cannot imagine our lives
without wheels. We cannot afford stagnations. We all have to move fast from one
place to another. Similarly our material has also to be transported speedily
from one place to other. And all this is impossible without wheels.
Wheel is one of the most ancient discoveries
for mankind. The first ever wheel was discovered around 3,000 years ago. The
exact year of invention of a wheel is yet not known. The potters and weavers in
ancient times are believed to be the first users of wheels. In addition horse
carts, camel carts, bullock and carts are still used for transportation of men
and material in the rural and countryside villages.
Gradually wheels underwent magical
development and now wheels are used ranging from baby cars as well as giant
ships, aircrafts and last but not least in automobiles. Wheels have brought
into a massive revolution in the small, medium, big and even giant industries.
Because of wheels only, there has been
development in the field of industrialization. Numerous manufacturing factories
and companies are an outcome of wheels. It is because of wheels that we are
able to move fast and cover many thousand miles distance in short time. We
travel on roads, rails, water and air.
Apart from surface travel, man has
been able to reach to the Moon and Mars by way of space craft propulsion which
is highly commendable.
In conclusion, in light of above facts
the discovery of wheel is the most important technological discovery in the
history of mankind that deserves an extremely loud ovation.
