5. Talk about a person in your life who has inspired you. Describe the person and explain why you found him/her inspirational.
~~~
My wife Manju is the person who inspired me the most. We were married before 32 years. Within a month of my marriage, I met with an unfortunate road accident and got multiple fractures and dislocation in my femur. This all called for a major surgery of my leg and treatment for six months. All thru this period she helped me. After six months the most painful phase of physiotherapy and walking on crutches started and lasted for three months. I was badly depressed and gloomy but she always inspired me to be active and encouraged me to be physically as fit as before. Whenever I faced money crises Manju never allowed me to feel down and always helped me from her small savings. She even inspired and encouraged I to acquire higher professional qualification because of this I received many promotions in my job. Because of all these qualities of my wife Manju, I consider her to be the person who inspired me and motivated me always.
TOEFL Speaking Practice 04 "What is your most important possession?"
4. What is your most important possession? Describe it and say why it is so important.
~~~
My most important possession is my house. I constructed it and occupied in the year 1988. I borrowed a loan from my employer and some shortfall I managed from my savings in Provident Fund. I constructed it with the help of my Architect friend and a Builder. This was constructed considering my present living standard and future needs. I have 3 Master Bed Rooms, One Drawing Room, One Dining Room and a spacious kitchen. Front and Back Yards are open for front garden and kitchen garden. I constructed this house with an investment of Rs.4/= Lac and today its price is greater than Rs.40/= Lac. Great scarcity of land, Skyrocketing land prices and enormous inflation makes my house an important possession. These days if one wants to have this kind of a house he or she shall have to shell down Ten times higher price (Say Rs.40/= Lac) This is my most priced and important possession. I love my home sweet home so much that I would never rent it out or sell it.

TOEFL Speaking Practice 03 "What is your happiest childhood memory?"
3. What is your happiest childhood memory? Describe it and give reasons to explain why it is your happiest memory.
~~~
My Happiest Childhood Memory
I attended Second All India Scouts and Guides Jamboree when I was 14 years. This was held at Bani Park in Jaipur, Rajasthan from 27th December to 31st December 1956. More than 10,000 Scouts and Guides from all over India participated. The cold there was really bone chilling and I had to stay in the tent with all my school mates. Morning 6 use to be a wakeup call on Army Bigul. Within 45 minutes we used to get ready and reach parade ground. Witnessing 10000 Scouts and Guides in uniform and colour party with colourful flags ready for parade was a superb and smart scene. Commands were given on loud speakers with the background music of band. What a fabulous music and parade scene. It was hilarious. We used to make breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee and supper ourselves. Doing laundry and cleaning utensils was also part of our activities. This makes us independent so we can take care of the things we need ourselves. Early evenings we were allowed to move in the entire jamboree area and meet new people, interact and make friends. We were there for five days and enjoyed a lot. This is one of my happiest and the best childhood memories.
TOEFL Speaking Practice 02 "What is your favourite place for weekends?
2. What is your favourite place to visit on weekends? Describe it and explain why it is your favourite place to go.
~~~
My favourite place of visit on weekends: -
My favourite place for spending weekends is Mumbai (Erstwhile Bombay). I prefer this place firstly because it is full of charm, beauty glamour and life and secondly because this is one of the metro cities of India. Also my two daughters and one son live there so accommodation is no problem. My son spares one of his chauffer driven cars exclusively for me so I can move anywhere like a free bird. In addition I am a party lover and a merry-maker. Each day of my stay there I relish variety of non-vegetarian cuisines along with fine drinks. I visit beach and also do some boating that I love the most. Also to and fro flight journey is just 60 minutes it is quite enjoyable. Hence after a pleasant weekend I return to my work afresh. Therefore Mumbai is my favourite place for weekends.
