“Learn By Doing, Reading and Listening”

People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things; other people learn by reading about things; others learn by listening to people talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you? Use specific examples to support your choice.

Learning is a continuous and lifelong process. Learning can be by reading books, doing the things and gaining experience and by listening to others. By those entire ways one can learn. I would prefer to adopt all the three ways. In this essay I will elaborate my viewpoint.

To learn subjects in the school and college, students have to read books. Books are the valuable treasures of information and knowledge. One can learn a lot by reading books. However everything can not be learnt from books is also a truth. For example one can not become a master bicycle rider simply by reading a book on it “How to Ride a Bicycle”.
Similar is the case with riding a motorbike or driving a car in the city area or the free way.
For learning those one has to have help and guidance from the people who know these jobs fairly well.

Listening to the advice of family and friends brings many benefits. Parents and elders, with great patience pass on their most valuable advice based on their profound knowledge and vast experience. Sam Levenson in his notable quote says: -

“You Must Learn from the Mistakes of Others. You Can't Possibly Live Long Enough To Make Them All Yourself”.

Furthermore, learning through one's personal experience brings many benefits. All the professionals like scientists, doctors, engineers and many more feel that personal experience has a greater importance and they are right. The learning and acquired experience make an individual more confident in his or her work field. They gain more knowledge and experience that will be very helpful and valuable to others in future.

In nutshell one must adopt all the three ways of learning.
