Essay: -

Failing to Plan is a Plan to Fail
Any work in the direction of goal achievement has to be planned properly. A good plan makes the execution easy and achievement fast. A famous quote by Alan Lakein says that: - “Failing to plan is planning to fail”
Absence of planning or improper planning leads to waste of man power, material and money the 3M most precious resources in management. Hence the goal may either be delayed or may not be achieved even.
Success only comes with determination, one who set concrete goals in life. One can have short term, medium term and long term goals depending upon nature of business. Oil and Gas Exploration, building an Oil Refinery, Cross-country Pipelines, and Marketing facilities with infra structure may need medium to long term goal. Starting a Gym, Spa or Coffee and Snacks Bar may be possible with short term goal. Planning has to be done in proportion to available resources of money, time. Those who fail to set goals in advance may go astray and lose and they give up when they fail.
Mostly people are unable to see the intangible gains and are unable to foresee the difficult tasks on the way. A budding and promising entrepreneur who is fully prepared will ensure that he has all the necessary resources to achieve the goal. With his elaborate structure and support system, he would not get panicky or disheartened because he is fully aware of obstacles and hurdles on the way.
Charles Dickens a renowned English Author and Critic once said, “I never could have done what I have done without the habits of punctuality, order, diligence, and the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time”. These are the key ingredients for the ‘success’ recipe.
In conclusion, any work in the direction of goal achievement has to be planned properly.
