Essay: Child Care by Grandparents versus in Day Care Centre

Some parents think that childcare centres provide the best services for children of pre-school age. Other working parents think that family members such as grandparents will be better carers for their kids. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
---------------------
I am strongly of an opinion that better care of children can be taken by grandparents or the other elderly members of the same family. The main reason being, members of the same family give lot of personal attention, love and care to the children which in the day care service is absent as day care service is a commercial activity with large number of inmates.

Working couple may put their wards in the day care service if no others in the family are available. Putting children in the day care service and play schools has become a status symbol also for the young couples.

It is the home where child is born, felt the environment, opened the eyes and saw the faces of mom, dad, grandparents and the siblings. When it grows up to preschool level poor fellow is put into altogether a different environment with absolutely strange people. The child here will be most unhappy on account of missing the love and affection of the grandparents and company of siblings. It takes its own minimum time for the child to adapt to the new place and people.

Furthermore where commercial activity and money aspect is involved, malpractices and neglect can’t be ruled out. Physical and mental abuse by such centres may damage the true spirit of the infant.

In summary, it is a proven fact that, newborn inherits the traits of grandparents and parents. Hence growth and development of the child will be much more superior with grandparents and siblings compared to Day Care Service.

Which person are you most likely to go to with a personal problem? Describe this person and say why you would go to him/her in particular.
------------------------

Mostly I like to share my personal problems with my wife. She is quite a sober and matured person. She is MA in Human Psychology and can handle any difficult situation very easily. She is very caring and loving. She specializes in Child Psychology and Behaviour too. It is by now 33 years since we got married. In the past many of my problems related to finance, health, social relations, business etc, she has always guided and helped me overcome those. Because of these qualities in my wife I would particularly like to go to her in the event of any problem.

Essay: Housing for Homeless by Government

Some people believe that the government should pay for and offer housing to people who lost their homes or cannot afford them. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
----------------------
I fully agree that government must help the homeless. In this essay I shall elaborate my point of view.

Government by definition means a group of people elected by the majority of the population to govern a country or a state. Government is necessary to the existence of civilised society. It is responsible for a good governance and administration in the interest of the population by large. The government must have foolproof “Disaster Management Plans”, “Contingencies Plan” and “Civil Defence Plan with adequate funds to cope with such unforseen force majeure.

Due to natural calamities like earth quakes, tsunami, and floods etc the houses and buildings collapse and cause loss of man and material. Many people die and several become orphan and are left alone in this world to struggle till death. People sustain severe physical injuries. The injuries may be to an extent of partial or permanent partial or total disablement to an extent of losing limbs even. Those who survive are rendered homeless and penny less which is extremely pathetic. Hence as a part of good governance and administration government must ensure the rehabilitation victims how best it can.

In nut shell, Government by definition itself means a group of people elected by the majority of the population to govern a country or a state. Government is necessary to the existence of civilised society. It is responsible for good governance and administration in the interest of the population by large. We must consider that "shelter" is a basic human need and right as well. Hence government must ensure adequate rehabilitation of victims of such disasters and those homeless who are below poverty line.

Essay History Important to Study or Not....

People believe that history is very important and we must study the past to understand the present. Others say that it has little or no use at all. Discuss both views, give your opinion and support it with relevant examples.
------------------------------------
History is an elaborate narration of all the past activities, failures and successes. I strongly opine that learning about the past is very important for us to live in present and plan for tomorrow. Past happenings are the lessons for present and future. There is of course no point in brooding over the past mistakes or misfortunes. However to learn not to repeat those mistakes is most important.

History builds a very vital and important data base that is used as a reference in present for our present and future ventures. Past record of a project gives idea to the executors of a similar new project as to how to proceed with project execution. Furthermore in an industrial establishment, past record of accidents and fire hazards gives idea for prevention of reoccurrences. This also gives an idea as to what measures should be taken and what material and equipments must be provided and made readily available for the safety of men, material and money the three most important assets termed in the management. (3M)

To say that History is unimportant is absolutely wrong. As a matter of fact, past history is the most valuable data base, without which our performance and success in present and future are impossible. Hence learning about past is most important.

In conclusion, the life is too short to experience everything by own self hence dependence on past and experience of others is most important. This makes the History paramount importance, Secondly it has been very validly explained in a quotation by David C. McCullough; that “History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are”. Therefore History is most important.

Essay Teenage Population High is Good or Bad.

Nowadays in some countries the numbers of children aged 15 to 19 are increasing. What are the immediate and future consequences  of increasing population?
-----------------------------------
Rise in population is indeed a matter of great concern for all. In this essay we will look at the pros and cons of increase in population of teenagers. Teen age range is 14 to 19 years.

Any country with a large number of teenage or young populations is a young country. Obviously as a natural phenomenon, shortly the teenagers grow up to their working age. It is a proven fact that a young man delivers higher output compared to an aged person. Furthermore, after an age of 60 to 65 years of an individual, his or her output decreases. Hence on the basis of demography, life expectancy and gradual deterioration in health the retirement comes into picture.

Due to overpopulation the basic human needs for water, food, housing and fuel make high demands on the country. Secondly for the necessities of survival, there is increasing demand for more material goods and services. More schools, colleges, professional colleges are required to be built. All this apparently appear to be a loss to the country but there is a great intangible gain like young work force which is an asset to the country.

As far as disadvantage is concerned in my opinion, teenage is a critical phase of adolescence and the teenagers are pretty curious about experiencing everything like falling in love, experience sex, get into good job, earn money, marry and many more. At this juncture youth may indulge into crime like juvenile delinquency. No doubt with adequate precautions by parents, elders and teachers or educators, this situation can be controlled, mitigated or avoided even.

In nutshell the benefits of greater teenage population outweigh its disadvantages. Hence it is good to have more of youth that contribute toward building a powerful nation.
