You have had a bank account for a few years. Recently you received a letter from the bank stating that your account is $240 overdrawn and that you will be charged $70 which will be taken directly from your account. You know that this information is incorrect.
Write a letter to the bank. Explain what has happened and say what you would like them to do.

Bank Manager,
Dear Sir / Madam,
Greetings,
I am rather unhappy and shocked to receive your letter of 1st July 2007 stating that my account No: SB/ 0004321 is $240 overdrawn further more you would directly debit $70 from this account. This is not what I expect from you, a Bank of such a high repute.
Please be understood that as per the standing instructions for my Systematic Investment Plan with Franklin Mutual Fund House, you were required to pay $240 per month to Franklin Mutual Fund for a period of 12 months. The said period was over on 1st May 07 and you were informed accordingly the same was acknowledged by you. In spite of that you have paid 13th as an additional installment of $240 to the said Fund House. This is the reason I am overdrawn by $240. Please recover the said extra amount from the Fund House and credit it back to my account. Please note that no any debit of $70 is made from my account. Please confirm by return of post.
An early action shall be very highly appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Yours truly,
