I agree that children should help with household tasks as soon as they become able to do so. In every house the domestic chores are performed by the housewife. In most families husband goes out for the business or the office as the case may be, and children go to school. It is only the homemaker that takes care of all the household jobs in addition to the domestic chores. Quite obvious, in the process she gets totally worked up. In this situation not helping the homemaker sounds quite inhuman.
Secondly with the time, the homemaker advances in her age and may develop some old age health problems like fatigue, muscular cramps and pain, high or low blood pressure, breathing problems like bronchitis, asthma and many more alike. The most painful and commonly widespread in majority of women is arthritis. This is extremely painful and becomes a constraint for a lady. Under the circumstances if the grownup sons and daughter help mother in her household chores shall be a great relief for the aged mother.
Furthermore the daughters and sons can learn cooking that is a great help to them when they move to a new place for further studies or the job. They don’t have to depend on random the food of any taste and quality. They can make the nice food and eat. They don’t have to compromise on quality and taste. This is in the interest of their good health upkeep.
Last but not least every daughter gets married and then has to perform as a homemaker. In the joint family culture, the homemaker who is thorough at household jobs and cookery is most loved by all.
In conclusion children must contribute in household jobs how best they can. ----(292 Words)
