It has recently been announced that a new restaurant may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

I am against the idea of having a restaurant in the neighborhood. The reasons being, a restaurant would make food in bulk all the time. This process of cooking would cause enormous amount of smoke from the barbeque that can cause tremendous amount of inconvenience to the neighbors. Especially to people who are allergic to smoke and smells. Those who are asthmatic may get bouts of breathlessness. Smoke may induce permanent bronchitis and cough problems to the nearby residents. Especially older residents shall be highly inconvenienced.
Improper waste disposal may cause smelly and bad surrounding. This pollution shall be harmful to the neighboring residents. Loud music and noise made by crowds of customers may disturb the peace and give rise to a noisy environment thereby causing noise pollution too. This shall disturb in the studies of the school and college going boys and girls of the area.
Of late trend and the fashion are eating fast food and junk food. A restaurant shall promote these which are injurious to general health of the public. Especially youngsters shall be most tempted and go for that at the cost of their precious health, time and money and that is undesirable.
Restaurants must be built away from residential area to facilitate tourists and visitors and for a part population comprising of students and job doers coming from other countries or towns who have no other facility for food.
In conclusion building a restaurant in the neighborhood shall do enormous harm and no good hence must be disallowed.
