Important Rules in Communication
1. Smile makes miracles in communication. Give a real pleasant & broad smile to the people you are talking to.
2. Always look straight into the eyes of the other person and keep a smile on face.
3. Don’t try to imitate others during communication. Be yourself that gives the best impression of your personality.
4. Most powerful words in English are Sir / Madam / Thank you/ Sorry/ Please/ Excuse me and Pardon. Use those words most lavishly and generously and you will experience a miraculous effect.
5. Never use any word without knowing meaning. This can be disastrous. If you are very keen to use a fancy word, don’t use it simply on your guess, check and confirm meaning from Dictionary or he tutor and then only use.
6. Never use words picked up from Novels and Movies. These words prove mostly inappropriate in day-to-day official & personal communication. These words if used may lead to serious misunderstandings and may prove to be disastrous.
7. Always use short words instead of long words. Use most common words. Don’t use jargons. A communication well understood by majority of population including the least educated mass is the most effective communication.
8. Use minimum possible words. Make short sentences. Be specific to the point. Receiver should feel most comfortable at perceiving your communication immediately, correctly & effortlessly.
9. A communication need not be fashionable but it must be effective. It must be well understood by the receiver and fetch desired results to you.
