“College & University Education for All Students”

Some people believe that a college or university education should be available to all students. Others believe that higher education should be available only to good students. Discuss these views. Which view do you agree with? Explain why.

I very strongly feel in the democratic world all have equal right to acquire education. “Life is a continuous learning process”. A University is an institution for the purpose of education and, development that leads the community to the progress and development and prosperity thereby. Hence any one desirous of having education must be encouraged and welcome and weak or strong should be no criteria.

In this extensively fast era of computerization and advancement in technology; even a most common man now talks about computerization and travel to outer space, moon and other planets. In such a scenario, more and more education, higher and higher education is the need of the hour. Simply literacy is not enough hence any one desirous of having education must be encouraged and welcome regardless one is weak or strong. In democratic environment every citizen and his or her dependents have freedom of speech, right to information and many more; similarly every citizen has a right to get educated too. Furthermore, for an individual’s own self development, a disciplined life is most important. Attending classes regularly and punctually shall induce discipline among the university students that is a paramount importance for a powerful personality. In a way universities can make a great contribution by imparting an excellent education and giving out highly educated professionals with powerful personality those are the assets of the nation and thereby a powerful nation is built.

In nut shell, world is not composed of only high caliber professionals or Chief Executive Officers. Every level of persons are required, let every one not be a Management gem or a CEO for that matter. Universities must educate all and must not refuse admission to any on the plea of his or her being weak. ------(291 Words)-----------
