If I am given an opportunity to choose my room mate I shall gladly do that. In this essay I shall elaborate why I want to choose my roommate.

Majority students live with roommate while studying in school or university. I would choose a roommate who is either my classmate or my senior. Because any study related difficulty can be sorted out by discussion. Secondly in event of absenteeism by any one the roommate can tell what was taught in the class. Secondly I would prefer the roommate who has same hobbies like mine say music here; we can learn from each other and develop.

Roommates occupy positions of extreme importance in our lives. Often they are more important than parents! Roommates can have great influence over many areas of fellow roommate’s emerging identity. Their choice of music, movies, clothes, boyfriends or girlfriends, classes, jobs, and so on. In some cases, it doesn’t stop here; it also covers the personal standards of behavior, school performance, morals and values. This makes it especially important for us to make good roommate choices if available.

Everyone would like a sensible and trustworthy roommate. Good roommates try and help each other how best they can and solve problems of each other with mutually. A roommate must be reliable, honest, trustworthy, and cooperative. Conversely our roommate also expects equal reciprocation.

In conclusion, while we may be far away from our parents, brothers, sisters and close relatives or friends, for study purpose. Roommate is the one who is nearest to us. Hence in any unforeseen contingency like our sickness or an accidental injury, roommate comes forward and helps us the most. “A Good Roommate Is A Priceless Treasure”.
