Essay: - Write about the biggest risk you have taken

Essay: - Write about the biggest risk you have taken
-----------------------------------
Risks can be many in the life. It depends upon perception of the person as to which of those one considers to the biggest. However in this essay I shall narrate a story about a risk that I took and I consider it to be the biggest.
I am a retired Manager from oil and gas sector, cross country pipelines. I am an Electrical Engineer and worked all through my service career in operation and maintenance of cross country pipelines. I had no experience in the Insurance sector any way.
One fine day I received a letter from a renowned Life Insurance Company requesting me to meet them and work for them as an Insurance Adviser. Accordingly I met them and explained that I had no knowledge or experience in this field. Hence I have no confidence of delivering desired goods to them. Upon this I was offered free training for the Life Insurance Adviser after which I could appear in the online examination conducted by the Insurance Authority and start working on commission basis.
After giving some thought, I agreed and joined the company. I underwent training for Life Insurance Products and appeared at the examination. To my utter surprise I passed out with 80% marks. Shortly I received my Advisory License and started working. Within a short period I sold good lot of policies, earned good commission and developed many good contacts. As a token of appreciation of my good work company honored me with gold coins from time to time.
In conclusion, because of taking this big risk and working in this company I gained experience of Finance sector and acquired further qualifications as Adviser for Non Life Products and Mutual Funds too. The good old quote also confirms that “No Risk No Gain”.......

Essay: - Smoking tobacco, like other dangerous drug should be made illegal.

Essay: - Smoking tobacco, like other dangerous drug should be made illegal. Agree or disagree?
---------------------
I strongly agree that making smoking must be made illegal. In this essay I shall elaborate my point of view.

Smoking is Cancerous is a proven fact. Cancer is an extremely dreadful and life taking disease. Thanks to the health researchers who have found that passive smoking is further worse and much more harmful. Active smoking is done by the smoker himself whereas Passive Smoking is inadvertently done by the people near him by way of inhaling the smoke exhaled by the active smoker. Passive smoke causes severe allergies to many, particularly asthmatic patients may get severe asthmatic attack and may need immediate hospitalization and may be required to be put on clinical oxygen. Animals are highly allergic to smoke. Particularly tiny and tender pets like cat, dog and birds are over sensitive and feel hard to breathe and start coughing badly. Hence persons having pets must never smoke. Those who smoke in air-conditioned offices and houses, cause many times more harm to themselves and to others by way of passive smoking to those who visit and sit in their room for business or social visits.

Smoking causes diseases like, Cancer, Bronchitis, Asthmas, Tooth decay, Lung Cancer, and Impotency in men. It causes Still-birth in case of women, Heart Attack, Loss of teeth. Smoking gives old age wrinkles too fast.

Many people orally consume tobacco in form of Guthka and dry tobacco with lime. This causes oral mouth cancer. Some people sniff fine powder of tobacco. This causes pulmonary troubles.

Summarizing, in the interest of the well being of the population by large, Governments must ban and smoking and tobacco consumption in any form must be made illegal.

Essay: - What is the best advice you have ever received?
-------------------
Advice in the life can be on many dimensions like studies, job, career, marriage, habits and many more. In this essay I will elaborate on an advice received by me for acquiring higher qualification while in the job and make my career.
I was working as a Senior Electrician in an oil corporation. Another Sr. Electrician there was pursuing a part time, four year study course of Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I was advised by my boss to pursue this diploma with help of local polytechnic.
According to this advice, I secured admission in the polytechnic and started studying for my Diploma in Electrical Engineering after a break of sixteen years. I was regularly attending evening classes after my day’s job in my company. This was all very tiring. One of my other colleagues was my classmate here. Both of us use to pool for transport and we use to study jointly at my home. Every semester up to third year we cleared. In the Fourth and Final Year both semesters we studied very hard. We use to solve ten sets of past examinations papers daily. In a way our preparation became so good that we could write the Final Year Examinations without any difficulty or delay. I passed out the examination with First Class and First Rank. I scored the highest marks in the batch and experienced a success. Because of this I received many promotions and financial gains.
In nut shell, I joined as Electrician and retired as Manager. Hence I feel this to be the best advice I ever received.

Essay: - Is Fashion Important in our Life?

Essay: - Is Fashion Important in our Life?
----------------------------
I opine that fashion is important and one must keep pace with the time. Fashion means way of dressing, hair style, fashionable footwear, and style of walking, talking, interacting, presenting, communicating and many more. But in this essay we will mainly focus on fashion of clothing, cosmetics and general appearance and projection of an individual’s personality.
Fashions do change fast and it is a proven fact that changes are inevitable and changes are always for good. So we too must change with the time and welcome the change. Also a good dress makes a positive impact on our behavior. Hence we must always be well dressed for an event or occasion to give a powerful first impression.
Fashion makes a person more attractive and beautiful. Hence women adopt the latest fashion to look charming, beautiful and glamorous. Handsome men and beautiful women get lucrative jobs of Modelling and Acting in film industry. These industries contribute a lot to the economy of the nation by way of employment.
However transparent dresses and shorts in women may not be suitable on business as it distracts the attention of the co-workers and the work suffers. Such dresses with the low neck and low back type tops, exposing cleavage and the back are also unsuitable on the business front. Fashion of this type of clothing has gained quite a lot of popularity all over and students in schools and colleges tend to wear such dresses that have an adverse effect on the academic career of students.
In nutshell though fashion is important and welcome but care must be taken to ensure that it is within the limits as an old proverb says that “Excess of everything is bad.

Essay: Rural versus Urban, Living Standards and Gap.

Essay: - There is a gap in standards of living between countryside and cities. How true is this in your country? What measures should be taken to reduce this gap?
-----------------------------
I fully agree that there is a big gap in the standard of living of countryside population and the city population. In this essay I shall elaborate the reasons, for this gap and what best can be done to mitigate the problem.
Since the ages, the main business for the rural dwellers has been farming and agriculture. This includes poultry farming and dairy farming. The female bovine and cows required for dairy farming and milk productions and the male bovine bullocks are used for cultivating the farms and transportation.
As compared to city (Urban Areas) the facilities of education, internet, medical, entertainment like cinema, malls, multiplexes, game parlors, and fashions are absent in countryside villages. Because of this villagers tend to move to city and avail these facilities and amenities. This causes crowding in cities, pollution and global warming. The aftermath of the said migration is that the agricultural, farming, poultry farming and dairy farming businesses are negatively hit.
As a matter of fact, the environment in villages is very neat and clean and absolutely pollution free as there are no giant industries and automobiles. Hence the villagers enjoy a sound health whereas conversely the cities are thickly populated, Polluted and warm. The migration from villages to cities is really a grave problem.
In nutshell, to prevent these problems, I strongly feel that governments must provide adequate facilities of education, medical, entertainments in the countryside villages so that the gap between countryside and city dwellers is minimized and the business and economy of the nation prosper.

Essay Behaviors Right or Wrong Responsibility of Parents or Schools?

Essay: - These days, schools introduce behavior of what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. This responsibility is not only parents’. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

---------------------------------
I do agree that parents alone are not only responsible for the right / wrong behavioral aspect of the children but the schools have a major contribution towards it. In this essay I shall elaborate my point of view.

Soon after birth and before attending school, the child learns behaviors from parents and the environment. During this time parents guide the kids about right and wrong behaviors. Once the child starts schooling one learns discipline, team-work, manners, punctuality and communication etc.

Children are always playful and they like freedom and to play. When they start attending school there is a sudden change in the environment for them. Suddenly many restrictions they come across like loss of home like freedom,  way of dressing i.e. uniform, way of sitting, time bound sitting and way of talking etc. These changes offer a great resistance and kids are not as comfortable as at home. Because of this children may resort to angry and offensive behaviors and those are to be corrected and taken care by teachers and not by parents. Physical Training, Exercise and Parades are the part of developmental training.

In addition to right behaviors students learn about various subjects like Language, Maths, History, Geography, Science and many more as a part of academia.

In nutshell, I opine that right / wrong behavioral aspect of children are not the responsibility of only parents but it is a joint responsibility of parents and the schools. However schools have to have a greater contribution toward shaping the right behavior of the students and making them good citizens.
