“While In New Country Adopt New Customs or Not”

When people move to another country, some of them decide to follow the customs of the new country. Others prefer to keep their own customs. Compare these two choices. Which one do you prefer? Support your answer with specific detail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I prefer to adopt the customs of the new country where I go and live. I believe in the philosophy that: - “When In Rome, Do As the Romans Do” means that when you are visiting a new place, you should try to do as the people do who are from the place. Example: "I can't eat that." Reply: "Oh, give it a try. This is merely an arrangement of a few words that makes the country man happy, no harm any way.
People from different places have different ways of acting, so it is important to try to do things the way people do who are from the place that you are visiting. One cannot dictate his rules when he or she is a guest to someone.
Visiting a new country is an opportunity for the one to see a new place, feel new environment, and know new people, new culture, and new customs. In addition one makes new friends and establishes new contacts. This all brings out a novelty in the life that is most pleasing and exciting. So why miss such a golden opportunity?
Also one should never forget that although every change offers a resistance, changes are always for good. Changes are inevitable. Changes are a way of life. One likes it or not changes are bound to be there. Hence one must not only accept the change, rather he or she must welcome them. Not accepting change is like trying to swim against the current that is extremely strenuous and in the process one may drown even.
In conclusion, the best policy in a new country would be to learn and honor their culture and practice their customs.
“Whether Third-Level Education is Necessary for Success”
Is a third-level education necessary for success?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is very difficult to answer the claim that a person needs a university education to be successful in life because success in life means different things to different people. This essay starts by defining three different ideas of success. Following this, it looks at which types of success are dependent on a university education.

Success in life can be achieved in different ways. Many magazines and television programs tell us that success means having a lot of money, having a fulfilling career, and being powerful. In contrast, most religious and spiritual organizations claim that success means finding spiritual happiness and being at peace with God and with you. Another idea of success focuses on relationships - being surrounded by people who love you and care about you, spending time with family and friends.

A university education can help you achieve some types of success, but it makes little or no difference to whether or not you are successful in other areas of life. Undoubtedly, a university education is essential if you want to have a career in a profession such as law, engineering, teaching, or medicine. However, you do not need a university degree to become a wealthy and powerful movie star, sports star or businessperson. In fact, a university education does not generally enable you to achieve spiritual happiness, or to have successful relationships with family and friends.

In conclusion, there are many facets of success. A university education may help you to achieve professional success in some careers. However, it will not help you to achieve success in other areas of your life such as your spiritual life or your relationships. Hence it is impossible to generalize that third-level education necessary for success.

However it is also an alternative sentencing technique in a justice system. And at times groups of people will commit to perform service to the community as a gesture to the larger community, as part of gift economics.

Examples of some of the community service projects may include: -

1. Cleaning a park;
2. Collecting much needed items including clothes, shoes, food, blankets, etc.;
3. Getting involved with habitat for humanity
4. Reading to the elderly in nursing homes;

9. School activities that benefit community

“What Characteristics You Want In Friend”

What do you want most in a friend — someone who is intelligent, or someone who has a sense of humor, or someone who is reliable? Which one of these characteristics is most important to you? Use reasons and specific examples to explain your choice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We as human beings live in a society and we are all social creatures. All of us have some friends and in turn we are friends to them. We communicate with our friends and so they do. Everyone would like reliable and trustworthy friends. Good friends try and help each other how best one can and solve problems with mutual help. Friends must be reliable, honest, trustworthy, and cooperative. In turn there has to be an equal reciprocation.
Sometimes we may be residing too far away from our parents, brothers, sisters and close relatives or friends, depending upon our work and business location and demands; however the friends are the only people who live near us. Hence in any unforeseen and uncalled for contingency like our sickness, an accidental injury it is the friend who comes forward and helps us. Here I am reminded of a couple of old proverbs;
“A Friend in Need Is A Friend Indeed” // “A Good Friend Is A Priceless Treasure”.
Nowadays the culture has changed. Now instead of interacting face to face, people prefer to talk on telephone or the cell phone or internet. This culture has reduced the personal touch in human interaction and thus relation, very specially friendship. Some individuals have turned out to be quite reserved and introvert. These are however not the qualities expected of a good friend.
In conclusion some of the expected good qualities of a friend are reliability, honesty, trustworthiness, and cooperation. We too must equally reciprocate with those qualities, for an everlasting fast friendship. Intelligence and sense of humor however don’t matter at all matter in a true friendship.
“Visit a Foreign Country”
You have the opportunity to visit a foreign country for two weeks. Which country would you like to visit? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If I get an opportunity, I shall visit USA Los Angeles. There are many things to do there in Los Angeles. This county and sprawling city is situated in an area that is renowned worldwide for its entertainment industry, high-end shopping areas, and the theme parks.

There are neighborhoods like Beverly Hills and Hollywood. Hollywood is known for Hollywood Boulevard and the famous bronze stars with the name of famous Hollywood actors on them on the Walk of Fame. Also there is the Mann’s Chinese Theatre. This is an impressive Asian-styled theatre that has elaborate decorations on its front. The plaza in front of the Chinese Theatre also bears the marks of Hollywood stars. Many of them have their handprints in the cement, similar to ceremonies of the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. Outside, there are actors dressed in interesting costumes from a movie, or as a star like Superman or Marilyn Monroe. They’re happy to take a picture with you, and they appreciate the tips they get from tourists on a Los Angeles Vacation. I would love to get photographed with super stars. At night, the nearby Universal City Walk comes to life. The bright lights of this glittering promenade advertise the cool stores, nightclubs, eateries and movie theatres. This is highly an entertaining place to spend time.

Also there are many nearby ocean side cities such as San Diego, and the miles of California Beaches, one would feel flabbergasted. On the top of everything, my nephew and nieces are citizens here, so stay and transport are no problem to me these are added advantages to me. Hence I would have Los Angeles vacation with my family for a couple of weeks.

“Types of Movies”

Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I prefer to watch comedy movies. I am a great fan of Charlie – Chaplin & Laurel – Hardy. Comedy movies are highly amusing and entertaining. Comedy movies and programs make you laugh too much like anything. It is a popular saying that: -
“Laughter Is the Best Medicine” and this fact has been worldwide accepted.
Several TV soaps are available these days. Those are popularly called serials. TV Serials are telecasted in the form of family movies, social movies, crime movies and fiction movies. Serious family movie programs show lot of adversities and tragedies based on imaginary stories. Showing a lot of adversities and tragedies may make viewers sad and depressed. Mostly viewers, while watching, become so much involved that they start feeling a part of the tragedies themselves and start weeping and feel deeply depressed, gloomy and sad. At the end of the show they leave the hall with chocked throats and a great hangover of the tragedies. In a way such movies do more harm than good. When one wants entertainment he or she must watch a move that entertains and does not cause sadness.
Many educative movies on Health And Wellbeing, De-Addiction, Community Service, Science And Technology, History, Religion, Culture, Music, Dance, Art, Games And Sports etc certainly make viewers think a little but that is all for good. Movies must be the source of entertainment and not depression and sadness.
In conclusion, I strongly feel that in this fast age when people are tension mounted and have no time for their entertainment and amusement. In such an era I would prefer comedy movies and Laughter Shows because those are the best for relaxation and overcoming tension.
