Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Playing a game is fun only when you win. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree that playing games is a fun only if player wins. I would put it up differently and more precisely that playing games is a greater fun on winning than losing. Games are played for fun and playing games is a fun no matter one loses or wins. In this essay I shall elaborate my view point.
Winning and losing is a natural phenomenon in any game and the player must take it sportily. It can never happen that either players win or both conversely lose. Playing games builds the sportsman sprit among players. Hence if one can take it in right spirit playing games is a fun regardless of win or loses.
Playing games is one of the most effective ways to eliminate stress and tension but if one is afraid of facing a defeat, may suffer severe anxiety and remain tensed during the entire game, thereby chances of losing become bright. I would rather say the player unprepared to face the defeat, should not play because a defeat may throw him or her into severe depression. In the games, players must do their best to win nevertheless if they lose they must be able to take it rightly with a sportsman spirit else they would be miserable. Games are played to keep ourselves physically and mentally healthy. If devils like anxiety and tension come in the way, the basic purpose of playing games is defeated.
In conclusion, it is a fun to win and feel the victory however defeat is inevitable. Hence players must play for a good and healthy participation that is more important then anything else. Win – Lose are the two sides of a coin in the game. More precisely, playing games is a greater fun on winning than losing.

“Is Computerized Data Collection Justified?”
Can computerized data collection on individuals be justified even though it endangers the rights of individual?
---------------------------------
It can not be generalized that computerized data collection on individual is always unjustified. It mainly depends upon the purpose of data collection. Employers keep collecting data of their employees and maintain such data for their official records as well as for the purpose of assessment of the potential strengths and weaknesses of an individual and his or her possible elevation to next higher position and or the training needs if any. I don’t see any unjust in this.
Furthermore medical departments also keep a record of health and sicknesses of individuals. The purpose is such data collection is in the interest of an individual’s further course of treatment and his or her wellbeing. Especially for psychiatric patients doctor’s main job is data collection in respect of an individual’s behavior pattern that helps him treat the subject well. I can see that purpose of data collection is rather noble, there is nothing wrong in it.
In crime detection data collection is done for the criminals who endanger the population by large. Said data collection is in the interest of the nationals at macro level and the purpose is noble.
Only if data collection is done in respect of an individual by another individual with ulterior motives of knowing his or her private life and secrets or with the motive of causing unwarranted harassments or piracy, indeed such data collection is wrong and criminal.
In nutshell, collection of personal data in respect of any individual is right or wrong shall mainly depend upon the purpose of such data collection. If purpose is good; data collection is right, conversely if purpose wrong such data collection is bad. -------------------(275 Words)

“Internet Provides Valuable Information”
Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------
I fully agree with the opinion that internet provides huge quantum of information. But I disagree that it creates problem. It would surely create problems to those who collect the entire whole lot of information regardless of its relevancy. Surely yes! Irrelevant information is garbage. In the following paragraphs I shall elaborate my view point.
Before 25 years or so, the Internet was an obscure network of large computers used only by a small community of researchers and hardly anyone imagined that the Internet would play such an important role in our lives as it does today. Today, the Internet is the center of attention for businesses, governments and individuals around the world. It has spawned entirely new industries, transformed existing ones, and become a global cultural phenomenon.
In the years ahead, the Internet will have an even more profound effect on the way we work, live and learn. By enabling instantaneous and seamless communication and commerce around the globe, from almost any device imaginable, this technology will be one of the key cultural and economic forces of the early 21st century.
Internet is such a powerful and compelling technology because first of all from its conception in the academic community to its subsequent development the Internet has evolved into a uniquely independent information exchange--one that is able to grow organically. Internet can operate reliably with little centralized management, and is built entirely on common standards.
In nutshell the internet is a boon to the mankind. The main advantage of new technology is that it amplifies human potential. User must know what information to store and what to delete and trash, so that user has precisely the relevant information and not the garbage heap of irrelevant information. -------------------------------------------------(288 Words)

“Information Technology & Polarized Society”
The age of Information Technology has taken a lot of people by surprise. While it has become a way of life for some, others know very little about it and may be unlikely to learn. Eventually we will have a polarized society and this will lead to serious social problem.
To what extent you agree with this statement?
(Write minimum 250 Words)
-------------------------------------------------------
While I fully agree that information technology is a great surprise to the people but I totally disagree that information technology would result into a polarized society and may lead to serious social problem.
Before introduction of information technology and Computers, the jobs were carried out manually. This involved tremendous amount of manpower, labor, time and money. Documents and records use to be in paper form i.e. in the physical form thus having large mass volume and weight and occupying a huge area. While computers had just begun, computers also were huge in size shape and weight thereby occupying enormous space. Now computers have become as compact as a note-book. Those are known as laptops and can be carried anywhere and operated by putting it on lap. These days, bulk of papers, files, documents, and records have totally been eliminated and entire information and data is stored on hard drive of a computer and can be accessed at any time and anywhere. Also use of internet for information, business, education, communication, health monitoring & management, entertainment is a boon to the human kind. In this time of cut-throat competition, survival is for the fittest and one must keep pace with the time.
In conclusion information technology is now so wide spread that life without it can’t be imagined. It is a boon to human kind. Information Technology must be fully harnessed and optimally utilized for the growth and development. Nevertheless at a micro level, very tiny group of old timers may not be computer literate and may not use it. This in no way polarizes society, thus no serious social problem is foreseen.

“Improve Conditions for Physically Disabled”
In the early 21st century, many cities are being rapidly redeveloped. In this process, the needs of special interest groups, such as people with physical disabilities, are sometimes taken into account.
How can society improve conditions for people with physical disabilities?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Society has a great responsibility towards helping the physically handicapped people. Those are our brethren and we should do everything that we can to help them out. In this essay I shall elaborate what all society and government can do to fulfill this mission.
Most Polio victims are unable to move. For them wheel chairs and specially designed automobiles can be made by automobile manufacturers and sold to them at confessional rates. Government must give all necessary assistance to such manufacturers and give them relief from taxes.
Many a visually impaired people are very good at music those must be given free music lessons, instruments and motivation to develop their skill. Further those can be employed as music teachers in schools. I have come across many visually impaired music teachers during my school days. Also those people do sedentary jobs like running Public Call Offices, transmitting fax messages and Xerox copying business very well, those must be given all necessary assistance by telephone companies whether private or Government.
Those who are hearing impaired can very well be employed as data punch operators or account book writers in the shops, establishments, industrial and business organizations. Those people can very well work on computers or write manually with pen and paper.
In nutshell it is a fundamental and moral responsibility of the society as well as the governments to ensure that the physically challenged population is taken care of and they are also motivated to do the jobs as any other normal human being does and they must always feel themselves at par with normal human beings.

“Important Skill for Success”
What is a very important skill a person should learn in order to be successful in the world today? Choose one skill and use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.
----------------------------------------------------------
I feel, the single most important skill to be successful worldwide is the communication skill and especially interpersonal communication skill.
From the very moment of birth, babies learn to communicate, building on their innate ability to communicate to mother through crying. Thereafter, throughout life, a person's development and progress depends on communication of one form or another. It may be either communicating to or receiving communication from others. Communication skill is an important vehicle for any person on the road to success. Ability to communicate is essential to all. Nevertheless human communication is far more complex and sophisticated. There are many avenues and means of communication that we use. However, for the purpose of this essay, we will focus on interpersonal communication skills, as those skills are crucial to success in many fields of endeavor.
For example, most large companies include communication skills in training program for their staff's career development. For most businesses, their long term success and efficiency receives a valuable contribution from employees with good communication skills. For those who need specific types of communication skills, such as public speaking, special training courses are arranged internally or the employee sent to other training centers. It is an established fact that better one communicates more and more success one gets thereby brightens his or her career and flourishes in the life.
In conclusion, for worldwide success , communication skill is of vital importance because it gives a greater self confidence; one can win the heart of his or her dream partner, or save the marriage, one can manage the staff and deal with people outside of the organization.
